Almost all the other players on the team are gay... 3 straight players (as far as we know) are in a relationship. Of these 3, the only straight guy whose relationship we have more details about seems to be completely submissive to his girlfriend (to the point of not going to the pool party because there would be too many women, for example), so he would never cheat...

Apart from the MC, there is only one straight man left (as far as we know) who is not in a relationship, Stryker, but he is a criminal and is in jail.

The very few well-known male figures in the city (especially at the college) are either gay or extremely problematic (either a criminal or has alcohol/drug problems).

And even straight men from other colleges (like the ones at the first basketball game) are seen as complete jerks, in other words, NOBODY has the slightest capacity to compete with the MC, even if it is to take ONE girl from the harem

Which is a shame. While hard to write in a way where people won't immediately wanna cuck the friends gf (although there's always people who ask for that), it's always nice to have a good bromance for the MC in story driven VN. But I gave up hoping for a proper story in this VN awhile ago... doubley so after that weird Sopranos-esque update that came out of nowhere.

I had a sliver of hope at the beginning it would be more story focused about building the basketball team while being a manwhore to the girls in the school. Quickly saw it was just about being a manwhore in different places lol

Well at first it gives an impresion that the story will be around a guy in his teens and his adventures in college but the moment mc meets Rachel in person and she propose a quickie i realize that the game's main objective will be to fuck any woman mc meets rich and famous some times, some time succesful businesswomen , athletes and give the kids...

Well if you notice that in the first day that mc arrives at college and goes to meet Harper, there is no basketball team real training, It is clear as day that Dev did not care much about the sport part of his game..and even later after the shit at the bowling alley the team struggle a lot on the 1 game so far (which was a Joke because anyone who knows even the basic of basketball rules would have seen that the Thorns players were doing things on purpose)

I'm 100% convinced that this "game" is merely a showcase of "look at the hot women I can draw in 3D! Isn't it great!? Look! Here come 40 more in the next update! YAY!" more than it is a cohesive story with any means of trying to be anything other than just a glorified Render Sex Circus. Which, if that's what you want to do, that's fine. Go back, abandon the basketball story line 100%, make the game about the movie Speed, but with sex instead of a bus.

It's perfectly clear that the basketball thread/tag is non existant at all from day 1 at college, mc knows only how to shoot and dag the ball, 0 knowledge of defensive/offensive dribbling also the college's team don't exist as well cause in the first few days only mc ,damien and Ayden have any kind of intereste in basketball, Mackey only participates because of his father ,Ryker acts like he owns the place but now that we know for sure why he behaves like this i can see him change his behavior if the dev wants to continue his story...

It's pretty well understood after all these years that this game is basically a nukige...lots of sex, little to no plot. The point is who the sex is with, the random new characters that keep being added, instead of the original cast that. You can play a minigame at this point of counting how many different hook-ups the MC has had at this point. The only basketball tie-in at this point is maybe the MC is going for Wilt Chamberlain's record (20,000 bodies).

It was more to do with how it was original presented. Especially with the synopsis. Quickly became apparent it was about body count after a few updates and not actually going to tell any kind of a coherent story, even in the background.

Pure curiosity. What has been the longest period of no updates?

I don't have actual dates, although there is a compilation of all of his excuses and posts somewhere that could possibly tell you that.

Without referencing that, I feel confident in saying this is a bit of a two parter. It's definitely been longer without any updates. Months, to maybe a year.

However, I would say this is the longest he's gone with little to co contact with the discord. I'm not in the discord, but from what's been posted here it looks like after his May 3 post on patreon, he's maybe have only posted briefly once or twice to says he's alive and working. Not his typical walls of text carefully crafting how he fucked up, plans to do better, and lays out dates for updates to completely wiff it all and repeat.
