I haven't followed this game for about 3 years and i feel like i haven't missed anything, has something happened with the dev? i vaguely remember that on patreon he said he was having problems

I was doing the work of remembering, and it was something like his parents had died, he had gotten married/divorced, he was going to have a son/daughter, he had health problems, or he was going to be kicked out of his house? Is it one of those excuses that developers give, which may be true, but after three years I see that there is almost nothing new, and i also read that he is going to make a remake? the game looks good, he doesn't have to do anything, just continue the story, it seems like a bad joke

Yes, remake...
TBF, some models were simply awful (Emiko and Lauren spring to mind). But yes. He's currently wasting even more time that you could ever fathom, stating that he is splitting his workload 70/30 in favour of the remake. Furthermore, it could go higher.He also remade the house Rachel bought. I'm not sure that was beneficial, as it didn't affect anything associated with the game. This was akin to changing a font from turquoise to teal. I'm sure people were REALLY concerned with the background with all this boinking going on lolYes, remake...
I think the only thing getting high(er) is BD's lack of concern for his paying customers (yea I'm a WVM Anonymous survivor)

A 70/30 split of zero is still...zero. So the ratio really doesn't matter in the end. Definitely agree that some of the early character models were pretty terrible. But I think some of that comes from the sheer number of them. When the number of LIs goes into the dozens, how much time and attention can you expect to be spent on them? BD really emphasized this when he stopped even naming them, just giving them numbers or colors.Yes, remake...
The remake was originally supposed to be about making the absurd amount activity that takes place each day more spread out, hence the first 9 days changing into 30 days for the same amount of content. This was more than 3 years ago. No surprise that the "remake" now is something else. It really doesn't matter what, because in the end it's just another excuse for the lack of new content. Now BD can say he did X amount of work (say 2000 renders that seemed to disappear into ether), but because of the 70/30 spread, most of that work is on the *wink wink* "remake", so we can expect 600 renders. Of those, we'll be lucky if we see half that...or more likely, any.

He planned the remake years ago, I think the reason is that some supporters had complain about unrealistic timeline which is true
In one of the last updates he finaly removed the page after part 1 who said "remake will be done 2023"

Bought Dispatch today. Pretty solid Telltale game with an episodic release thats still faster than anything BD could ever dream of. Regarding WVM though? Sadly still not abandoned yet.
