Well you see here is that Braindrop does actually have his own team that he pays. BUT the main difference from his team to others is that all his employees (discord mods, writters, coders, debuggers, testers,...) are all his alter egos from different multiverses he made up to decieve people.

This thread is genuinely entertaining. I actually forward to it lmao. The latest wtf excuse i saw (even by the dev standards) was an "eyebrow ache" i think is what it was called? Then babysitting?? I'm also sitting here reading and i can't help but think the dev seriously competes with stranger things in the aspect of time between new content. We might legitimately have gta 6 before we even see another basketball game.

Hello everyone.

What I've noticed is that the author's approach remains disastrous, and I wouldn't expect any progress for at least a year. At least Braindrop is showing signs of life and maintains some interest in the project, but even so, the risk of him abandoning it is high. There are ways to change this, but he hasn't done anything about it in a long time, so I wouldn't dwell on it any further. Personally, I would consider it abandoned; that's the healthiest thing for everyone.

If Braindrop is interested in seeing the project through, he knows what to do. Until then, it's not worth our time.

Best regards to everyone during this special time of year.

Many of us are here in camaraderie thanks to how disastrous it is. I would compare it to the old Dilbert strip about the "Numbing", when someone crosses over from frustration about a bad work situation to the not-giving-a-fuck calmness afterwards. This thread is far more enjoyable than threads for some other games where devs have been a tad slow to deliver updates but not even in the same universe that is the badness of BD. I am sometimes shocked at how unhinged folks can get on those threads, while in here, we all know what it is, and are taking pleasure in being a part of it.

That's the one thing I think a person could actually complain to Patreon about. There are no promises on delivery of the game, but Discord access is specified as something you are getting for your patronage. A ban for even the most basic comment could be leveraged for a complaint to the credit card company. If you've never used AmEx and filed a fraud complaint, oh man.

I got an AmEx after witnessing someone else go thru it. After 4-5 weeks of documented correspondence with a retailer going nowhere, they submitted copies of emails to AmEx, and within two hours the retailer was calling them begging for another chance.

I bet Patreon responds really well to complaints coming from them. If I had a Patreon account that wasn't the same username I used here, I'd be tempted to test him.

The funniest thing imo is how BD never seems to weigh in when Morbil goes on his power trips every once in a while.

BD has said multiple times that he is fine with criticism and has never to my knowledge tried to silence negative voices in his discord. Funny how he just lets Morbil be the bad cop while he can be all sympathetic and understanding of the critique or the good cop if you will.

It's almost like it's a well thought out strategy to garner sympathy by being such a good guy while fucking up his dev process, and someone else who's totally not BD on his alt account can deal with the people who speak out against him. We don't want a full-scale mutiny in the discord server after all, that could severely hurt his bottom line..
