Given the amount of kissing with Azel early on and how it intensified, I can't help but think Patreon is really the only reason it hasn't happened, so once they're out of the way it may make for an amazing finish.

yeah it is just rediculous when the dev´s pull all expression sliders to max... the results fit mostly in a horror movie or an LSD trip
the best a few post prior i saw someone praise the detail in expressions...

I don't even mind the unearned harem stuff so much (it's a jerkoff game, cmon) as the dialogue. Just something weird about the tone that doesn't go away.

Yeah, exactly. The MC is tall, athletic, famous, effectively wealthy and apparently attractive. He can get chicks in a college town. The issue is that these women fall in love with him and come to be completely emotionally dependent on him within minutes of meeting him, after he has done and said nothing of any note to them. They just meet him for the first time and they start crying and confessing their love. That's why people call this a cult simulator rather than a harem simulator.

Sandbox doesnt provide any value, its only a lazy way to make updates feel longer since you need less story and can introduce grind

The game is fine as it is, all that needs is consistent updates, nothing else

At this point, I totally agree. I wouldn't change it at all. But if it started as one? It might have been a more manageable endeavor for the dev.

We're just going to have to wait and see how it ends up.

Same here won’t surprise me if he did some fanservice at the very end just for sticking out with all issues with updates and stuff

The big issue this dev keeps making with respect to the storyline is that they feel it's important that a character can't be missing from the game for too long before they need to make an appearance. So every update feels like this laundry list of speaking to x/y/z to get their one line in and by the time we get to some kind of story progression the update is over because so much time was spent "making the rounds" on all the other girls.

The number of women is on the ridiculous side but it actually wouldn't be a problem if the dev from the beginning went with the formula:

meet new girl > setup plot point to help/woo girl > resolve plot > relegate girl to backlog/collection > move onto next girl

This gives the freedom to have a meaningful interaction with each new person but then when that's done, move on and have them make cameo appearances for big harem orgies or if it makes sense to have them appear within another girl's plot for some reason. Just don't waste time having 30 women show their face just to effectively say "hi, I'm still here" or get stuck on making new sex scenes for girls we've already had many for unless you intend something significant to come out of it i.e. pregnancy.

Don't throw too many new women at once too. The introduction of that color coded group of girls during an already overburdened scene of new girls, it just gets boring.

Other devs who only have 5 or 6 women total can get away with dedicating every update to cover everyone in some way but when you have 50+ it's just not feasible without harming the narrative.

Also there is a fine line you have to walk along to avoid a harem turning "cringe" and for me that line was crossed when they had all the girls in bikini's lined up in a row and bent over just for the MC to enjoy. It takes a lot for me to feel embarrassed? in a virtual scene in a game...but that's how I felt when that happened.

I can't understand how Braindrop, who have a really hard time finishing updates in a decent timeframe, can waste his time with pointless scenes between those 2 (Azel feeling unwanted for the 5th time this week + kissing MC like crazy even if I choose the hug sooner in the game).

A lot of these girls can be cut. They all have almost the same personality so you can trim this down this cast by a lot. Just focus on the ones that fulfill unique fetishes. The ones that stick out to me aside from the 2 main girls are the sporty black girl, the trans one, the trans male, one of the Asian ones, and that's about it. At least narrow it down to one of each race and hair color.

For everyone wishing for incest: Dev has said MANY times that won't happen. No Azel, Cedar, or Wendy sex. Yes, we are all bummed, but its already been stated.

Having said that: to the Dev, Braindrop: you have written Azel as not being related to the MC AT ALL. Yes, he calls her "mom" and she refers to him as "son" at times, but the dialogue clearly states that she isn't his mom, nor did she legally adopt him, nor was she ever married to his father. She raised him after his dad died...but with no official/legal/biological family ties to him. So I don't think Patreon (or anyone else) can get huffy about it. Lots of games (and real life scenarios for that matter) where a girl calls her lover daddy (in fact you have Bailey and the blond waitress calling the MC "daddy" a few times) but its not incest...as it wouldn't be with Azel (if you decided to add her as a LI at some point.). You do you, just pointing out that Azel could technically be fair game without an issue.
