I think it's because he tried to over milfify her, or maybe he was trying to avoid copyright in a slick way? Either way I can agree that I prefer the more youthful base model myself, although I do appreciate the quality of the model looks aside.

I think the opposite, i really like the way she looks. As you said she looks like a prostitute indeed and that's what makes it good. I don't think they ever said that the artist's style wasn't to their liking. I'm pretty sure their (mentioned) issues were with the Samus model specifically, which I find understandable. I'm also not a fan of the Samus model (it's the ugly face), but I still enjoy other models from them.
