I personally find abortion abhorrent but didn't think of punishing those that think otherwise and just decided to just not touch it all together during my tenure of developing the mod. The mod may have my name, but I lost control of it when I handed off the reigns, let alone lost access to the current dev git.

If it was malware, we would have heard about it on first implement. And as far as memory serves, that function was long in the mod and has had countless updates since. Again I was told by the current team it just bricks the saves. if it is anything malicious, nuke it.

I've been developing a script to transform event commands in RPGMaker games into a Python-like syntax for the purposes of inspection. Here are the results (for 0.55.1), if you are worried about what the game does.

The karma script was introduced somewhere between 0.50.1 and 0.55.1. I don't believe it is used anywhere else in the game. I also don't see any other script calls that cause similar behavior anywhere else in the game.

I think this is fairly straightforward, but here's a short explanation: All in all, if you ignore the game's warnings, all of your saves will get deleted and a critical game file will be deleted, before the game throws a missing image error. If the error is bypassed, the game will then delete the exe itself.

Not to mention that the kind of material that properly caters to the preg fetish is so niche that coming across either Silma, loserishome, or Arkone should be a natural consequence of being in deep into it. Yeah I thought the post that started all this was kinda funny too lol. The game even tries to convince you to make a copy of your saves so you don't lose them and gives multiple chances to back out. And I don't even think this event is repeatable, you'd need to make that choice the first time you encounter it.

That said, IDK how I feel about games that do this though, reminds me of some mod for another game that detects if you are running sexy mods and does nasty stuff if you are. As funny as it is, I feel like it's a bit of an overstep to delete saves and game files.

I personally feel the same way to an extent since one of my gripes I have with a certain eroge is that it forces you to pledge loyalty towards Taiwan before you could even play it. Even though it is just a simple screen and a button unlike this script, it still feels a bit heavy-handed and leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

That being said, the 'abort sex' script strikes me as a bit of an odd inclusion. Last I checked back when I played this game a few years ago, I never encountered such an event. It also feels weird because the whole selling point of the mod is breeding. Adding an abortion function--even if to screw with people--feels out of place.

I don't even have access to the source let alone the method for the script to remove it. ask loserishome. 2 - You're so full of shit it's unreal, no source code is needed to see the script, it can be opened in RPG Maker VX Ace:

Except here I can attach a screenshot too, it wasn't working in PMs that moment for some reason. Even if that's the only script that fucks with anything, it deletes a game file, which no one would know is missing unless they kept track. That bricks the game.

If you're talking to me:
1 - That's only the obvious part that sticks out like a sore thumb. I don't know what else they shoved in there that's malicious. If I posted it here with that script removed + the NPC removed, I still wouldn't know if it's safe.

2 - Shit like this needs to be called out, keep your fucking politics out of games. You think whoever put that shit in there won't do it again? That guy needs to get a ban. Bricking games is malicious enough to warrant a ban, no one cares that you don't care.

I get what you mean. I am not too much of a fan of such either, hence why Liz originally didn't have any option for aborting to begin with.

Yeah, I've been following this mod since near the beginning and loved it and backed it for a couple years or so on Subscribestar, but that NPC event that serves to yell at the player about abortion and delete the game and the saves is unhinged. For what its worth, I think Silma did not add it because Silma could have added it a long time ago if they really wanted to. Plus I think they did the art more than the code. I think I'm probably downloading GastonX's modified version of this mod and leaving it at that. I'm not comfortable downloading future updates cause more of this type of thing might be added to even more malicious endpoints.

BTW, since this topic is somewhat relevant to the game as is, why add the event and script though? I think I'm not the only one here that thinks that the modded game itself was plenty fine and functional without it.
