Hey, everyone!
I’ve been EXTREMELY busy these past few weeks playtesting the game, writing Chapter 4 scenes, posing December’s special renders set, and rendering the reworked animations. I even forgot to post this dev log yesterday!
Either way, things are moving forward with no slowdown in sight.
Writing has taken up most of my time since the PC is fully occupied rendering animations. However, I’ve been posing Chapter 4 scenes in between, as I usually do.
One thing I’ve realized, not only in the past chapters but also in the upcoming one, is that some parts have become way too sad, which isn’t the direction I want for the entire game. So, I’ve toned things down a bit. The major emotional plot points remain untouched—like Michelle and Olivia’s routes, for example—but I’ve made some of the less crucial emotional moments more wholesome rather than sad. For instance, enjoying a nice long pier walk with Julia, looking at old photos with Keyla, or going out moped riding with Kim.
I’m also working on a few things I can’t get into much details yet, as they may not work out at all. However, I’ve been in talks with some artists about music, as well as coding/UX improvements. Even if no one else takes on the coding, I can handle it myself in due time, though I can’t sing.
Two weeks(ish) left in the month, gotta keep the momentum going!
