VN Ren'Py Yesterday's Crossroads [Ch.3 v0.4.0a] [CHAQUINN0]

Well, I love all of these girls, yeah, even Kim and Keyla, every character is flawed in this game anyway, or at the very least they all have skeletons in the closet. Ok maybe not Olivia's dad.

And I like how flawed the MC is, first and foremost, when he tells his mom about the time he was cheating with Keyla in Zeke's back (while he was cheating on her anyway), and she judges him impassibly, wondering how many secrets she doesn't know about him. Makes him bearably relatable, relativizes the other characters flaws. He's wise, but still human.

Still have favorites, which are Alessa, Keyla and Kimberly, for wildly different reasons. All of those are from the MCs past, all of those loved him (still do), and all of those couldn't be with him because of various reasons. Alessa is still the first one I called near the end, and even though I think it's kinda weird she seems blinded to everything whenever the MC is there, to the point even Vera sees it, and weirdly enough pushes her toward the MC, still think she's great, but not sure that possible throuple is for me... (saw a couple posts where people said Kimberly was wife material, and they're right, but to me, Alessa is too). Keyla is tortured inside, clinging to her first love and making atrocious mistakes on the way, definitely has trouble with honesty, especially with herself, but I know I can't wait to see what's in store for her in the next update. Kimberly is just sweet as hell, but even though she's about the same age as the MC, seems like she was mentally stuck in her teenage years and just came back to reality. She's well surrounded and supported, though, she might actually be the most 'normal' of the bunch, which is still anything but boring in her case.

Even then, Michelle, Candace, Julia, Olivia, Kim, all of them are of interest to me, and I will certainly have a playthrough for each of them (still find it weird Julia and Olivia block each other, and nobody else).

Been a while I didn't have 'withdrawal effects' from an AVN, but here I am, just a testimony of how much I liked it.

Finished my first playthrough. Obviously missed some scenes here and there but right now it looks like you'd need...8 playthroughs, maybe 9? to really lock down all the content, and I can worry about that later when it is further along.

I played with URM but I didn't tweak anything, mostly just looking at the pathing as I went along. I love that the "bad" actions are called douche points. MC is relatable without being incompetent. Pretty much everyone in this is flawed in some way, even if the flaw isn't inherently bad (like Dina burying herself in work to cope with the loss of Theodore). I really love the MC's mom, one of the better ones I've seen in AVNs.

I'll toss LI stuff in a spoiler but since this was just my first playthrough, I'm not working from full info.

While I'm thinking about it, random question that isn't exactly LI related yet is: What's the trigger for the Liv date when you are visiting the branch in chapter 3? Is it being on bad terms with Kim?

Edit- Forgot to mention the transitions. There are a couple of places where there is no transition and there really should be one. The scene where you tell Kim she's going with you on the trip ends abruptly and jumps into the Olivia/Julia art scene. There was another jump later but I can't recall what it was.

I know that's what I did to unlock most content (except 2 scenes from Keyla which I'll have to revisit, cause I'm not sure how, and the last scene for Olivia cause strangely enough, Julia and her block each other), I saved before big choices, like the phone call when we arrive in town, and the ending choice, and re-loaded after each. But I'm greedy, wanted to see everything, and it worked.

I never had a problem getting the Olivia date... that being said I only play solo routes now, but I still remember her and Julia's route clashes at one point, so that could be one reason. I never played (nor will I) the Kim route, so can't tell if that's something that can interfere with that date. Unless you are asking what choices you need to make with Olivia herself, coz honestly I don't remember them, but they were pretty obvious even without any mod or stuff.

Just to give you some inside info for your future playthroughs:

Alessa and Vera will break up regardless if you are not involved with either of them, so really, don't worry about chasing Alessa in that regard, you will not be the reason you break them up if you don't care for Vera.

If I recall right that isn't being added in till the next update , with all the reworked stuff like Julia's path being improved and slowed down a little bit more before you bang.

Dev really likes similar names: Kim versus Kimberly/Kimmy and Olivia vs Liv. Liv is a side girl when you visit the other branch with Kim in chapter 3 and she's basically thirsty for you the entire time. She tries to ask you out and there's a path for it but it gets blocked by the manager pulling MC into the office to explain the situation with the branch.

I think you pretty much only have to say no to Julia, I ended my first playthrough earlier with all the paths open, Julia was the only one Olivia mentioned. Also wonder, if we say no to Julia's path, do the 'detectives' interrogate the MC anyway ?

should be next update if I recall not a full rework just some improvements here and there. I think it was planned for Ch 3 but I think the dev decided to wait for ch 4 to release it all at once , I forget exactly id have to look for one of the dev's old post.

That is correct to my understanding, with the prologue of the the MC's history either coming with 4 or 5, time constraints allowing.

I could maybe deal with Kim thinking about it like it was true love that was forced apart but eventually managed to find each other and be together again but that is probably ways of that i will play her route. The other girls i really have no issues with, Olivia is my personal favorite just because she's a redhead with green eyes and i just can't but not love her, its really sweet how she cares for her dad and all but outside of her i would say Michelle is my favorite and Julia probably after that. Those two are both just really sweet girls. Kimberly and Cynthia i just kind of imagine them as being just fuck buddies from what i played so far but that may change as i get more into their stories down the line and Alessa is a hottie for sure but i kind of just don't want to mess with her relationship, they look very good together

Oh she is my type for sure, i just didn't get much into her story yet to really know if i would like her personality wise. She is a major hottie appearance wise that's for sure though. Its something for a future playthrough, i plan to check out all girls solo routes at some point anyway but i think i will wait for more updates first is all
