Dev Log #19 - Chapter 4
This chapter’s current number of images has now passed 3000. I haven’t rendered the animations yet, and judging by how the last update turned out, the game’s size will likely end up being about 50% larger than it already is. So I’ve been working on reducing the overall file size doing my best to compress the videos and images without sacrificing too much quality. Some of them won’t be compressed though, as they get terrible color banding all over the place, so I’ll have to check those thoroughly later on.
I also found out last week that someone I paid for music licensing had completely generated them using AI, which throws everything they delivered into question now, I can’t tell what is human-sung and what isn’t. However, that pushed me to research things a bit more, and I’m considering some tools that could speed up my process and cut costs. Still, I want to support people who do things with actual talent however I can.
