still down, starting to think that people who says he gone away with all the money could be right, starting from the fact that he wanted only chrypto, because with a thing like paypal if someone find out could get money back. and, for the persons who says "why don't just pay?", i would, but i follow mostly persons who create furry games, and many of them after years are still in alpha, i should have paid more than 200 dollars in some cases for still have an alpha.

Damn I also hope it comes back, if not, maybe the guys over at Kemomo could recover the data? If the problem with them is missing content that could fix it. I know its a gazillion gb but still...

here's how to move all your followed yiff.party accounts to kemono:
  1. enter either your cookie folder and find data.sqlite or your backed up user list as a txt file
  2. scroll to the plaintext "favs" part of the data (just scroll a bit with word wrap on)
  3. cut/copy the user ID and paste in /patreon/user/ (notepad++ recommended)
  4. fav every user ID in the list, even ones that arent added, you can request/add/contribute them later
  5. search if some of your artists use gumroad or other pages outside patreon
  6. ???
  7. profit

(you could also try to move them directly by pasteing the user IDs directly into Kemono's cookie)

Crypto-only is reasonable, if not expected for a site like Yiff. The donate page list out the reasons, if you can find a way to look at it now. The short answer is that payment companies don't want to work with a piracy site and anonymity is actually important when trying to avoid takedowns from hundreds of artists. E-hentai accepts donations from crypto only and I never see anyone demanding Paypal/CC/etc. added for "accountability".

Kemono can't recover any data if Yiff is down since they aren't connected. At best, every artist that was on Yiff and are still around gets imported to Kemono starting from today. Though it would still be missing some data as some creators delete/modify their older posts and importing from now won't be able to get those back.

Alternatively you can also:
1. Open up your browser
2. Open up yiff.party
3. Right click anywhere then click on "Inspect" (or press Ctrl+Shift+I)
4. Navigate to the "Application" tab at the top of the inspect panel (might be hidden in the drop down menu, just click the ">>" button and it should pop up)
5. Open the "Local Storage" tab on the left panel and click on the yiff.party url tab
6. It will show you the sites local storage, which includes your favs data under the "faves" key

the comma separated list of favs also can be used to transfer into kemono if it ever goes back online. ( )

If yiff comes back, which I hope it will, hopefully someone will back up all the content and artists that yiff hosts elsewhere. I think it's clear that expecting yiff to always be there is not feasible. Today more than ever it is clear that there must be a good alternative.

Honestly, I mostly used yiff party to read early chapters of authors I liked instead of porn.
I don't think they will be added on Kemono.

I think Kemono fucked something up too. Their old images and videos are gone right now. It seems like their whole database was just deleted with this shutdown.

Not to sound as a technically illiterate imbecile, but would that somehow explain why none of the content loads (yet still acknowledges a post exists)?

Might be the CDN(content delivery network). I'm not too familiar with it myself, but basically media like videos and images are connected over a high-performance network. So, the structure of the website may stay intact, but content isn't available.

I saw a post somewhere that someone else has ownership or something like that over the site, if that's true i wonder if its possible for that person to revive the website?
