This is an interesting start, took a little bet to figure it out.
It would interesting to see where this play out.
A few typos here and there, but noting that would not be unexpected.
Looking forward to what happens on day 2.
One thing... the animation loops do not end and restart smoothly... the jump is a bit "irritating", not bad, more like listening to music and there is a background buzzing sound...
Something I'm sure can be worked out so that it's not so noticeable.

Tried this new game Ouro and want to share my opinion. Unlike Yorna, Ouroboros story feels extremely rushed, all events happens to fast, we even don't have a opportunity to know our protagonist better, get to know about her life and her personality. I like cyberpunk setting, not many games come out in this genre and especially with adult content. It will be disappointing if game don't receives attention to details as i mentioned.
MC just happened to be in wrong place and wrong time and as soon she gets to a safe place, she already working as special agent, or something like that. It just remind me about one of the anime in similar cyberpunk world where girl almost was killed because of her boss and after that one scientist saved her life, and gave her new body, because old one was destroyed. She decide to help him, but the degree of her help was developed gradually, she didn't get a gun in the first minutes of meeting him, and scientist also did not trust her at first. If you interested this anime called "Mardoc Scramble" (Lol, this girl even looks a bit similar to Kira).

About positive sides, i like idea of crafting and modding weapons, hacking from fallout also feels nice :p All UI looks stylish and good loking, some sountracks remind me ost of the Resident Evil, good work! Animated scenes looks really good, but as i said before, all story fells too rushed, and this H-scenes also too rushed in my taste. Almost 10 minutes of the game passed and Kira already get her way in porn film >_<. I don't think there must be grind to get all you want, but you definetly must work for it, achieve this, or it will be just fuckfest what's not good for the story.

Thanks for the feedback, guys! I’m always happy to hear players’ thoughts :)

I tried to place an entertaining plot high in the priority list and glad you find it interesting. Indeed, I’m not a native English speaker and while I edit all the texts after writing them, some errors may slip in under the radar. If you remember where these are, please give me the info and I’ll fix them for Ouro v0.1 release.

As for the animation play, that’s strange and concerning - I’ll look into it but require your PC’s stats and, if possible, a short video with the example of this animation ”stuttering”. Animated H scenes are one of the major points of interest in Ouro, if not the biggest one. During the development, I thought the process to be smooth and seamless - this means this issue could be hardware dependent.

Thanks for trying out Ouro!

The intro section is more like a single, big setup event for the start of the game rather than a sequence of rushed separate events. In its structure, it’s quite close to Yorna’s intro. Don’t worry, after the initial kickstart, the plot will be more evenly paced but still hold interesting events.

As for the great trust and working as a special agent, I think you are quite a bit off the mark. Freak is clearly mocking her via labeling the girl with ”Princess” callsign and stating that ”she couldn’t swat a fly” during the first conversation with him. That’s a lot of trust ^^ And knowing what will happen during the first mission… Ah, no - that will be a spoiler :)

And the gun is nothing special, it’s a bit of a Wild West in the Outer City and even worse outside of it. Core is the only ”civilized” place in N city. I was reluctant to place a lot of “mandatory“ text in the conversations and shifted a huge chunk of details about the lore into additional questions you can ask during dialogues. Check them out if you want to know more.

My best guess about the ”special agent” thing is that you thought about it because of the ”operative” status? You can ask Freak about the gang and he’ll mention it’s a group with a core formed from a former military unit so they and especially Freak use military slang like opfor, sitrep and so on. You’ll get the chance to ask him about it during the first real mission briefing in v0.1. But I guess the initial conversation can use some expanding.

I don’t know the title you mentioned but will give it a shot once I’ll have some free time on my hands.

All H scenes are optional. Just like in Yorna, you will be able to finish the game without unlocking a single H scene. The porn deal is just a way to let players mainly concerned about fapping to animated scenes get their treat. After hearing Dan’s offer, you can refuse with overwhelming disgust and never talk to him again. It may not be presented with a clear ”Pick A or B” menu but it’s a choice. It’s part of your game experience and totally your decision how you want to handle Kira, I’m here just to give you the option of choice.

I’m afraid it’s necessary for H game to have H content from the start (that’s why they are called H games after all) but the ”proper” relationship development will take a considerable amount of time to cultivate and asking players to wait for 5-7 updates until Kira can fall in love with someone is a bit too much. That’s why we have Dan.

Yeah i check them all but but it didn’t become clearer. I just like read about game lore if it's interesting written, and when i played I felt that I was missing information for the understanding of what is happening. Some additional lines of explanation in dialogues and small intro before the game will do this things I think.

Nah, if i remember in Yorna she also couldn't go to all breaking bad, but her corruption slowly rising during playthrough. 5-7 updates it's long of course, and fall in love not that I mentioned. But maybe it's just my personal taste, that this scenes come to yearly. I don't even know Kira's personality, but during her few phrases, she's a shy virgin girl, and it was really weird to me that sex scenes comes too soon. I get used to see some soft H-content in the begining, and increasing corruption during storyline missions. If she was struggling for money, owe some gangsters, as example, I will not say a word if she found this way as best option.

P.S. I will write this sentence just in case, so you don’t get me wrong. I will not try to make game for you, but just share my opinion how I see this game and suggest ideas how to make it possibly look better.

I've played through it a couple times now, and it's decent enough for a first release :)
Cyberpunk setting is quite exciting since it's fairly uncommon.
The crafting and upgrading of weapons was cool and interesting, a big plus for me.
Also Kira look super adorable!!

cons:
There were some typos here and there, but that isn't really an issue.
Now a bit of a gripe for me was probably the very fast pacing of the story. Maybe that's how you planned it to be all along, but I imagined a slower introduction to everything compared to Yorna?

Also as some others mention here, the sex scene with Cherry feels kinda too sudden and rushed?
I'm all for the sexy stuff and the scene itself was hot, but it seemed very out of place for a "shy and innocent" looking girl like Kira to accept it so easily.
That's the first impression I got from Kira at least, cute and innocent girl, probably a virgin(?), and I liked that as a contrast from Ada in Yorna.
Thus it felt like a clash in her personality to shift into a person willingly using her body for a mission just recently forced on her, after her whole life just changed and all o_O
One could argue "it's just lesbian sex" and that it doesn't take her potential virginity, but people will have very different opinions on that, and it's still sex regardless of all.

A question, is Cherry the girl that will have a full romance line?
I would assume she's not, since it doesn't seem very romantic.

As a side note, in my opinion of course, every update you make for the game doesn't HAVE to include a new sex scene every time. At least not in the very beggining of the story.
I know since the start of Yorna we've had sex scenes pretty much every update, and that maybe you feel everyone expects you to deliver it?
I'm just thinking if you're trying to go for deeper character building and romance in Ouroboros, making sex scenes from the very start might conflict with that?

I found the setting really interesting. The design of kira is really amazing, i love especially her hairstyle. Reguarding the gameplay it seems like yorna but with guns and other cyberthings and it's not bad at all. I love also Cherry/Gadget's design i found it really cool and hot hope to see more of her in future updates. The only thing i don't like is the mod system of the guns that locks the parts into a single gun and doesn't let detach them to use on an another weapon forcing you to re-craft the same parts several times and making the experiments in order to found your best setting expensive and grindy. Yeehaw Games you previously said that there will not H scene that are not optional, that means we won't get any scene by being defeated by bosses or common mobs, am i right ?
As always really good job and waiting to see more.

Ouch, only decent? :) Either way, thanks for the feedback.

It’s nice to see you liked the visuals. Since cyberpunk or modern themes a much less common in RPG Maker’s community than fantasy sets so I had to improvise a lot.

The fast-paced intro section was intended as a plummet for Kira and she will more or less come in terms after a certain event in v0.1. From that point onward, the story will receive a more balanced tempo.

Yes, Gadget will be the female romance option and no, the starting sequence wasn’t in v0.0.5 just a quick work-related fuck to see if Kira actually wills to follow through on her desire for revenge. I’ll get a bit more narrative on this part so it hopefully will be more fluid and understandable.

Gameplay, graphics and story. Indeed, I believe games need to have 2 of these 3 to be at least somewhat successful. I took Yorna’s gameplay as a foundation for Ouro so it should be okay. The artist team has changed from Yorna’s time but their art is still great. That’s 2.

Now, let’s be honest. My last attempt in making a heavily impactful plot was in League of Corruption and it sucked. I’m not Sierra Lee yet I’ll try my best to give you an interesting story in Ouro but I have no illusions about guaranteed success. Sadly, this leaves me with no real option to choose from.

Glad you liked Ouro and it’s great to see familiar faces interested in the new project.

Yeah, Gai Noob made Kira’s design and I liked from the first glance ^^ Don’t worry about Gadget, she’s one of the main characters so you’ll see her a lot.

I already thought about it and most likely the solution with your modding troubles will arrive in a form of ”Clean-up” kit. It will purge your gun from upgrades and allow more experimenting. Can’t name a date or release yet since this will require changes in the plugins and a ton of testing afterward.

No, I don’t plan to add “defeat” H scenes at the beginning of the game but it’s possible later on. Optional is up for debate, to be honest. You can say Yorna has only optional H scenes and you can beat the game without seeing one just don’t lose any battles or surrender.

lmao the EVE online references in ouro aren't even subtle
Guilty as charged. It’s nightmarishly hard to find a good icon set for modern or cyberpunk setting. After trying to fit them into artists’ schedules and brainstorming, I decided to go with ”Screw it, let’s see how many Eve players are out there.”

So I'm a lazy and tired person, so I won't check if someone already asked this, but is it intended for the stats like Vaginal, Slutiness and Oral to not raise properly? (not sure if other stats are also not beeing raised as intended, since I just started) I tried losing like 12-16 times against the forest spirites, cause why not (Also to make sure if there is pregnant conntent, sadly there seems to be none, I thought it'd be possible since it's similar to Melty) and my stats are only Vaginal 4 Oral 5...

The biggest win that this game provides is that the characters--including the protagonist(!)--have actual discernable personalities. They are not mere archetypes, and their interactions with one another feel like people conversing. As such, the team of friends that you will build will be composed of individuals whom you actually care about. In that sense it stands with the rarified likes of The Legend of Queen Opala.

It is, however, much, much smaller than Opala's Egypt. The story is quick and to the point, leaving the player wanting more. Much is left unanswered, and the door is wide open for a sequel. It's damn good work for one person, but it is noticably just the work of one person.

In terms of gameplay, spells being tied to outfits is a unique and original concept. You can run the table on spells, but it comes at the cost of significant vulnerability to opposing attacks. It is a clever mechanic. How exactly you want Ada to fight will be determined by tactical planning. Leave it to porn to develop the RPG genre.

The characterfulness of the NPCs shines in the porn scenes. Even Opala can't compete in that respect. Both significant and generic NPCs alike react to the heroine in meaningful ways. Reflexively it makes Ada seem more alive than more boring and generic protagonists.

If you are not put off by girls fucking other girls then play this fucking game. It is better than an RPG Maker game made by one person has any right to be. Go ahead and try to not fall in love with the kitsune.

I’m glad you liked Yorna and the monster girls. I tried to make them alive and looks like it worked out well enough :) For honesty’s sake though, I wasn’t the first in linking skills to certain items like dresses - Melty’s Quest and Sacred Eyes did it first.

As for the one-man-band situation, it’s true. It’s like running a factory alone. There are certain limitations I can’t overcome without an additional set of hands while I’m juggling creative time with my real life. Sadly, while Yorna received a warm welcome, it didn‘t rack serious support so I’m stuck in this state working on the next game - Ouroboros Syndrome. Hope it will change everything and I will be able to get wild with features and the story's scale.

For all the v0.2.859.11 trash out there getting money thrown at it how does a completed quality free game not get more support? You made me create a patreon account for this. I find paying for porn to be among the stupidest things that a person can do on the internet, but I don't mind tipping an artist who has already performed. Thanks for making free stuff for us, fellow prole.

Thank you! Ayane is very happy ^^

As for the reason why games eternally stuck at v0.2~0.3 are so popular, I would like to know the reason myself. The only meaningful conclusion I came up with is that these games have something very special and sought after by players. Despite their problems and token monthly updates, such games not only maintain their support but actively expand it. I’m simply too biased to see this certain something.

My theory is that they initially get various fetishists hooked by presenting an unlimited world with an enormous variety of small scenes that each feature particular uncommon kinks. Then they count on the sunk cost fallacy to keep the fetishists contributing despite the fact that only a small portion of the game actually interests each of them individually. At that point they just keep piling on the odd little kinks which entice revenue from new fetishists while foregoing any advancement in the narrative which would only serve to hasten the end of their gravy train. And if some of those fetishists begin to contribute actual work to the project, well then the author does not even have to produce anything anymore. What is really funny about it is that the rare few such games that do get "finished" (largely due to the work of that free labor) after so many years end up as being barely playable and riddled with bad code despite the fortune that was poured into them.
