Yeah, the tracked games for your alerts are a bit fucked on this site. Try checking the watch button near the top of the thread's page. I'd try cycling it so it shows watch, even if it already does. Similarly I'd double check that games you want to follow show unwatch on that button.

That "quest / event" doesn't start sometimes. But you get the underwear anyway. I think it's a bug.
Get a present from the manager after getting a high score with the client, then talk with the reception maid. Oh, and it's a one-shot scene. You can repeat it after unlocking the H event in the gallery
