Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback about Griffin! I think I fixed the main issue (Griffin making you break up with Jessica, only to hook up with both you and Morgan), and I can work on making him more attractive when I have more time.
I guess the dev may want to limit the variants, but other than that there's no good reason why the MC couldn't be both a confident football player and enthusiastic submissive, as long as they're keeping what happens on the field and in the bedroom separate.
(The opposite combination, a low confidence dominant, might make less sense.)
That's a good point. In general, I'd expect that in general the people who play as a submissive MC would let Griffin be the quarterback. But there would definitely be people who want the MC to be a confident football player by day and submissive girlfriend at night, and I wouldn't want to lock them out.
But what if you deliberately try to not win the championship at all?
If you don't win the championship, you'll stay as a girl. And if Griffin knows about the reality change, he'll still offer to give you back your strength.
How many times have I noticed how Raven is not a good person. In general, it is strange to consider her as a love interest, even Griffin is much better.
By the way, I have been tormented for a long time by the fact that having lost height you physically cannot win in American football. Yes, short people are generally slower, but it is not a fact, and the influence of the female body is also, but it seems that there is only a 10% difference, but being a first-class runner, the player should at least win runs. I understand that there is no way to win power, but running should be possible. Why am I saying this. In one of the roleplays in your game, I set myself such conditions that I would try to win despite collecting all the changes, it was interesting that having put in all my efforts and still lost, I just had to give up. Which was depressing
Tbh I think it makes sense. Being short is a disadvantage for a quarterback because you need to be able to see over the other players. Quarterbacks who are "only" six feet tall have struggled in the NFL (though there are exceptions). If you're five foot two, it's going to be hard to even see who you're throwing to.
I really like Raven as a character. It's rare to have a LI who starts by being an antagonist. This dynamic with the mc is very refreshing. Her relationship with her brother is also interesting especially with there opposite personalities.
Thank you! Enemies to lovers is hard to pull off convincingly.
These are my thougts but I also would like to add a bit more.
At the begining of the game Griffin is a really really bad quaterback but Raven blames Corey. This is the dialogue in the showers before the curse:
"So, uh, how about the game?" you ask, trying to change the subject. "Pretty crazy, right? Did you see that last touchdown?"
"I saw you show up Griffin," she says.
"So that's my fault?"
"No. But think how it looks to anyone else. You give him the lead, he messes it up, and then you play the hero." Raven pauses. "I'm not saying Griffin should be the quarterback, but he deserves a shot. He works so much harder."
"So?" you snort. "Did you watch the game? If it wasn't for me, we would have lost."
One look at her face tells you that she doesn't see it that way.
But that's completely false, Griffin does not work hard at all. He only trains when you do it with him while you have to train every day somedays even twice or thrice to be a good quaterback and it's possible even with high feminization. And when you practice accuracy with him he gets mad when you don't agree with his idea:
"We're going to work on your accuracy," you tell him.
"Sounds good. Why don't we get a bunch of footballs and I can throw them to you all at once? Then we won't have to waste so much time chasing them."
"Uh, okay. And then what happens once you've thrown all of them?"
"You'll give them back to me and I'll throw them again."
"Hmm." You can't help but think that if you do that, then he'll get all the help from the practice, and you'll get nothing.
"Let's just throw the ball back and forth."
"What's wrong with my idea?"
"Uh," you say, trying to think of an excuse. "Let's just stick to the basics for now."
That was a bad excuse you think.
To your surprise, Griffin seems to accept it, since he jogs away from you. You grab a football and throw it to him.
The throw is deep enough, but slightly too far to the right. It bounces behind Griffin, and he has to go run and chase it.
Griffin catches up to the football, jogs back to where he was, and throws it back to you.
It's too high, and you turn around and chase it. Once you've retrieved it, you immediately lob it back to him.
You didn't bother to run back to where you stood before so you had a shorter throw. Even though you made that throw, this one is much harder, and predictably the ball doesn't get anywhere close to Griffin. He's forced to run over to it and throw it back to you.
That's how the rest of the practice goes: the two of you firing inaccurate passes to each other, and spending a lot of time chasing the football. Griffin doesn't seem to have gotten better, but you actually feel like your skills improved. Lobbing these passes, even if they were inaccurate, gave you some much-needed practice.
"That was a good practice, Griffin," you say after the two of you call it a day.
"Yeah, sure," he says, and disappears inside the locker room.
Is he mad at me?
If you check the stats they both improve Accuracy with this practice not just you, still he is mad and you lose relationship points with him and it's like that every single time. After some practices with him I just want to tell Griffin to fuck off and look some else to practice Accuracy, Ryan and Everett would be better to practice with as Griffin is just a backup.
Then there is Morgan, when you advance the romance with Griffin at some point he goes to the lake with Morgan. And he excuses himself saying that he and Courtney are not officialy dating, that's true but neither Raven nor Jessica do things like that on their routes. Clearly Morgan is only after Griffin to mess up with Courtney and he went along with that, so either he is too stupid to realize Morgan's intentions or he just didn't care but you had to break up with Jessica to progress the route.
Those are good points. I guess it would make sense to have Griffin start off as a better quarterback, though still worse than you.
For Morgan, I don't think she's trying to mess you up. I think that she genuinely likes Griffin, although that's mostly because he's now the starting quarterback. In my next update, I added a scene where you and Morgan share Griffin. Hopefully that will make him seem like less of a douche.
To be fair, this is pretty realistic behavior, especially for a guy. So it's not that surprising he might act this way when the female ROs don't. It makes him both a realistic character and also a bit flawed instead of some sort of fictional ideal, and that's not a bad thing, imo.
It's much like Raven who is also clearly not a perfect character without any flaws. The nature of their flaws is different, but if you choose either of them as your partner, it's very much like in real life, when you are willing to be with a person despite their shortcomings. Rather than luck out (?) on getting on with someone who's absolutely perfect.
Yeah, that was what I was going for. He's suddenly popular and has girls interested in him, and that's going to go to his head. Judging by the comments in this thread, I don't know how successful I was in showing that though lol.
So even though I forgave Raven, I wanted Raven to be blocked of her magic as punishment, because she basically ruined the main character's life. But if you're even slightly feminine, she gets away with it when she then pulls off her trick of forcing the main character to erase all memory about him or force him to transition.
I'm planning for it to eventually be possible to make Raven lose her magic! The game isn't finished yet, so some paths aren't complete.
I haven't played this for a few versions but I do want to add to the conversation about people's like/dislike of characters. I will also say that its been a while since I played (just coming back to it) so my memory may be a bit off.
I personally love how all the characters are written. I do like how there are characters who are nice to you when you are dating them and following their path, whist being toxic when on other paths.
I personally think that Jessica is clearly the best, since she is not only open from the start with the issues she has when dating a girl, but also if you do break up she is still your friend. She is my personal favourite path but the only thing I wish there was would be a 'Semi-open' path where you date Jessica but also have threesomes with her and other characters. I did wish that there was a scene in the Halloween event when she has the option to go with the other guy, that you could join them. (And a possible Thruple path). I haven't played in a few versions so maybe some of this has been implemented with the reality change.
I love that Griffin is so toxic when he gets the power. Like he starts out on the bottom and when he gets a taste of power it fully goes to his head. He doesn't respect women and is quite happy to cheat. And is only really interested and nice to you when he is trying to get something out of you. I love how he basically becomes the kind of guy (or even worse) who Raven thought Courtney was. And I would love to see in him hooking up with the other cheerleaders (and possibly even Jessica if she is single) even if he is dating Morgan (and even Courtney).
Regarding Raven, I think that she is just very misinformed about the world. She basically seems to have a bit of a 'women good, men bad' view of the world which she takes out on Courtney. The only guy she doens't hate is her brother which is basically since he is family so she kinda just doesn't see him as a threat like the others. And so I like how as you transform she basically becomes kinder to you as she sees you become part of 'her team'. I get she is the one who started the whole thing but I do think that it comes accross more of just an emotional moment she comes to regret rather than anything malicous.
Overall I think all the main paths are really good and I do always look forward to when I come back every few months to see how its all progressed
Thank you, I appreciate that <3 This next update is going to add three different threesome scenes to the game! And in the current Patreon version, you can date Raven or Griffin without having to break up with Jessica.
I don't know if I'd say that Griffin doesn't respect women though. I think he's a good guy who isn't used to pretty girls throwing themselves at him.
I don’t think words are enough to describe how much I hate spending a lot of time into Griffin only to be completely cucked. I don’t even mind much having non-monogamous love interests in these games cuz duh they’re porn games but tfym this dude lost all interest in my character even after mc was nice to him, helped him train, didn’t scrutinize him after what his sister did to mc, AND broke up with his gf for griffin (WHICH HE ASKED FOR). LIKE HELL NAWWW, Griffin completely dropping mc by that point just felt so random that I was pissed.
I always play as a submissive bottom in these games but I hate him so much that I hope there was a way to feminize him or something and let him feel what it’s like to lose everything again. RAVEN DO SOMETHING TO HIM PLEASEEE
Edit: P.S. Today was my first time playing the game, so no, this is not really a reply to previous discussion abt Griffin cuz I’m new here lol
By "lost all interest in the MC", do you mean that you went to the lake and he was there with Morgan? Or that after the practice where you changed in the girls locker room, he asked Morgan out and not you? If it's the first one, you're not actually locked out of his path, and you can still date him. If it's the latter, there's a section in the walkthrough about what you need to do in order to get Griffin to ask you out instead.
In the current Patreon version, you also don't have to break up with Jessica in order to date Griffin.
Raven's behavior is the opposite in that regard. If you treat her like an enemy, she'll never regret her actions or feel bad for you and simply won't care. If you treat her well despite what she's done, she'll come to feel guilty and regret cursing you. If you turn down her growing feelings for the MC, she painfully understands that she deserves the rejection but will remain friends and help you out regardless.
Yeah, that's exactly what I was going for. She sees the MC pre-transformation as a toxic male. So the more you transform, the nicer she is to you and the more she likes you.
I would love to see Griffin's confidence stat be more manipulable, and it be possible to make him overconfident. I'd love to see Griffin be a bit of a jerk if the player is just trying to be a slut, and take advantage of them (though not without plenty of obvious intentional missteps, and some intentional corruption). It could also backfire if he's overconfident, but not skilled, and see more character growth for him. He could also be humble and skilled, if he's underconfident.
I think generally having more ways for his personality to grow in different ways would help make him an interesting character.
That's an interesting suggestion! I'm not sure if I'll have time to have different versions of Griffin, but that could help him be less of a flat character.
Pain.

As a Falcons fan, this gave me Nam flashbacks.
Sorry
