I notice some people are picky when it comes to visuals. Ive seen some say some games look bad or old or the dev hasn't discovered how to use lighting yet etc etc. tbh alot of the time for me it may not be amazing but rarely comes across as below average to me unless it actually does look dated.
It's the old graphics vs aesthetics debate.

Most people don't have the proper distinction and mix up the technical and artistic sides and then fail to consider that advanced technology makes stylizing much harder, but keep arguing that something looks bad because it's stylistically inconsistent and put the fault at the lack of realism when it's too much realism that causes the problem in the first place.

Thus graphics becomes the term under which visuals are discussed even though graphics are supposed to serve aesthetics.

It's why cell shaded games for example are pretty timeless while cutting edge graphics keep falling behind the new hotness.

In terms of this game you have to look no further for a clash than Ruby's just-a-little-too-wide smile in the main menu of chapter 2. Whether that's creepy or just hilarious is in the eye of the beholder.
Overall the visuals are in the odd spot where they are too realistic to be easily stylized, but not crisp enough to be impressive. But that's the eternal curse of amateur game-making because we're about 10 years back in terms of technology and don't have the bandwidth of a whole studio.

I don't think this will be a spoiler so...

On valenntines day I have the options to surprise Ruby with breakfast in bed or help Anna with yoga. Is there any pros or cons for eather or does it not matter?

yeah its nice but not much content
That depends on what you count as content.

If it means non-sexual scenes and text, there is quite a lot of it, but it's "hidden" in many different paths.
If it means purely sex scenes, then there are some but it's still quite early in the story.

Nearly 3 years in is not "quite early." Also, sandbox - yecchh!

I thought it was free roam not sandbox haven't played their other game in like a year or so
Never played it but looked at the page. Also, free roam can be bad - like if can't be skipped and insane difficult like in BaDik.

I wouldn't consider Rovering to Sussex a sandbox type game. For reference, I always think of sandbox games as showing you a world map and letting you click around to different locations... and they make you do grindy quests repeatedly to raise stats. Plus they have quests that can only be done on certain days, forcing you to play several in-game weeks to finish a single quest line. I play a few but cheat often because I don't want to waste hours of my life just to see a single new story scene.

Sussex is not like that at all. It has choices, but I haven't seen any repeat. There are quite a few girls and what you choose gets you closer to certain ones. Like one day where you get closer to a girl based on your choice between going to the gym, the library, or the coffee shop. Once you get a feel for the personality of the girl you are pursuing, the choices aren't that hard to make (usually). There are free roam sections but they are much smaller in scale than BaDik. It's more like choosing in what order you want to talk to the girls. The only grindy part of the game is that if you like all the girls, you'll have to maintain a lot of save games and make careful choices in each.

Thankfully there are really only two girls I like, and one's a closet slut so she's easy to pursue. :ROFLMAO: My only gripe about the game is there seems to be a lot of focus on piss-fetish, which I'm not too keen on. There's some of that in Young Again, but it feels like a lot more in Sussex. Consider that fair warning, or an endorsement if you're into it.

? It's a "VN"...not a sandbox, it's like any other, you can tab if you want.

And 3 years? Yes, it's already on Season 2 and Chapter 8, and it has a lot of content, more than I can say for a lot of games on this site.

yeah that's why I was confused by his sandbox comment. I played Sussex didn't all care for it very much so I haven't been keeping up so thought it might of had a change in direction or something.

Another member said not much when it comes to sex scenes. This one was never a blueball fest, so...

Well this is surprisingly refreshing, glad I gave this a shot. Although I must ask...what is with some of these character portraits looking up randomly??? I've never really seen that before in a game and its...quite...strange.

I think they are talking about his other game, where they have sandbox.
No, I meant someone said there was a lack of sex scenes in this game, where that is false. While there are a LOT of games that ARE blueballfests and are very popular...
