Shouldn't have to, I never have had to restart. But I dont change my save location or anything
I'm falling down after load screen (talking to Valerie in the port. MC is on the edge of the boat and when I move I fall down in water, yacht drives away

The extremely long follow quests that end with the girl going "k bye" is getting annoying.
Like the house hunting quest, where you walk through the ENTIRE neighborhood, walking through houses for her to go "no...next one". You then find a house...it has a bed....you lay together...then you get up and leave. LIKE COME ON, BASIC PORN LOGIC IS LOST HERE

Just don't move. I had the same problem, so I just tried not touching any keys after the dialogue until the loading screen was over. Worked perfectly.
Remember this is a game still under development so these kind of faults may occur. I experienced the same fault tried to load saves million times and at last i succeeded. Not the exact solution i think but i solved it by changing the options and loading back. First get the game from full screen to windowed mode, resoliton quality to %50, view distance to medium, and all the other settings to the lowest and limit to 30 fps. So engine has much more ram to operate and less fault percentage. As i mentioned not the exact solution but trying these with several loads finally mc was in the boat not on the edge of it.
