It looked like you pressed the "story structure button" try clicking the picture instead? I bet you already tried that of course... redownload and try again I guess.

The game would have been totally perfect if it had animations for such amazing renders it poses.

It started when I held down the picture and pulled it slightly upwards, then I went back to the menu and tried again. It did start when I held the picture for 3 seconds. Very strange indeed.
That usually happens with the android version. You need to keep the picture pressed until the background is fully changed, and only then release the touch/click.
(It is an unintended effect on the slower devices.)

Notice for Chemical Fire you can get even more if you encode the images at 95% quality ratio in WebP format (going above 95% has little benefits when it comes to size reduction), you can see the size reduction is amazing yet the quality loss is virtually unnoticeable (i think you might need at least 1440p monitor to really see the difference
) and i only encoded the PNG files, your JPGs are untouched.
Also for anyone that is interested in even more compressed version, i updated MYRepack-YAC out of reflex i guess

Strange. This should not be an error that appears when you want to play the game.
This appears when you try to run the game trough the ren'py editor and you miss content in the game folder of the editor.
What device are you trying to play the game on?
