The game increases its visibility and potential subscriber count with each new release. There are many examples of games that start poorly or with very few subscribers, but then explode in popularity by the third or fourth regular release.

I know Stolen Rose quit his toxic job, but I'm sure he had other problems because he couldn't release any updates.

This game is very well written; I think rendering the hundreds of images is what limits Stolen Rose .

Hello!
I mentioned I might be done by the end of May, but it wasn't that easy. I had to take some time to edit a clip (something like the concert from Day 2, but more complex) and that took a bit. Regardless, we're sitting quite well at about 120 renders into the climax, so this will be the last update before I post the release date. So, before that, let's go through what there is left to do:
- writing: there's a scene I need to add and some parts I need to rewrite. I didn't get the time to do that, but I caught up to that point with the renders, so it's what I'll be doing starting tomorrow. Effort-wise, it should be a few days of work.
- the rest of the renders: this one is prone to change after adding a scene and rewriting others, but I think there's about 500 renders left to do. Very rough approximation, but it's the best I can estimate right now. Might take like 10-12 days. Some are easier, but some are pretty complex.
- testing: I need to go through the release with every possible outcome and fix whatever bugs come up. I've been doing some of it as I went, but I need one final thorough QA pass. Probably one day.
- post: I need to edit what's likely to be around 3300 - 3500 renders. It'll need a day or two, I think.
You know, i really, really wanted to release it before a year is up, but what does it matter, at this point. Might as well take the time it needs to make the wait worth it than to try to get the release out before the 1 year mark and fuck up the ending for an extra week or two and not crossing the imaginary line I drew. Anyway, hope you're having a wonderful day and I'll see you on the date of the announcement (or on Discord, come chat if you're not in).

Ok, last one, I can't find anything that isn't spoilery anymore

I hope I find a job soon
what state or country are you in, i work in the public sector [law enforcement] and we are hiring for a lot of jobs, and since you can code, you could apply for code work for a city, won't pay what you could make privately but the hours are consistent.
there are also IT contractors like Digitactics and Barcomm to name a couple, and they need people.
anyway good hunting!

If a programmer saw my code, they would bring out the bat. I've been in interviews almost every day last week for game design positions, so it's not too bad, I just said that because I'm starting to run low on money and the process is lengthy.

Yeah, I passed all the interviews and got a job offer.

Oh, you meant the game.

Uhh, it's in its final stages, I'm just rendering as fast as I can. I'll announce the release date once I have all the renders done.
congratulations on the Job offer, i hope it is one that you were interested in and not just a placeholder.

I'm so happy for you my brother
Thanks a lot

No, no, it's a game design position that I'm very much looking forward to. Plus it has way better salary and benefits than my previous job, which is always great.

Finally, hope we can see the end of the story soon
This release wraps up Chapter 2, so there's quite a bit until the actual end of the story. I do want to change the approach for the latter half of the story, but I'll get into more details after I'm done and when I create the outline for the next parts.
