Hello!
I come today with news. I'm not sure if it's good news or bad news, but it's something I have to talk about. I haven't been able to make much headway with the project. I have some writing done, I started doing some renders, but it's very slow. Partly, that's because I moved to blender, partly it's because my new workplace takes everything out of me. It's pretty rare that I have the mental energy to work on the game.
Because of that, I feel bad about accepting financial support, so I've decided to pause the billing on Patreon.
This doesn't mean I'll stop working on the game. In fact, I think I have a pretty solid plan on how I can make it work, but it'll take some time to set up.
First, I need to become more comfortable at work. My impression that I would learn the project fast and become proficient enough that it doesn't exhaust me by the end of the day was wrong. Fortunately or unfortunately, my job has to take precedence.
Second, I need to establish a process in blender that works well enough so I can have some predictability. Right now, I'm just trying things out and learning, meaning I have no idea how many renders I can make any day.
Now, the way pausing on Patreon works is that it'll only allow me to do it one month at a time. Initially, I was going to do it for three months, but I actually think it might be a good thing--At the end of each month, I'll have to think if I'm in a good position to resume or not and can extend by one month if not.
I feel like I'm not delivering on the promise I made when I created this Patreon page. It's just something I need to do until I feel I'm deserving of your support.
Thanks for understanding.
