I got the feeling that he toned down his content to be more main stream. He teased a bit with that first lilypad concept, but I don't think he'll be making content as extreme as his earlier works. I'm not sure Patreon even allows it.

Yeah he's only got a patreon going AFAIK so I guess he'd want to tread lightly around that. They seem to have calmed down lately but I wouldn't put it past their trust and safety team to go on another jihad

Just FYI: No post planned this Sunday. ZG has still been in the process of recovering and still seems to be getting better. ATM he's got family over. He is considering some fun new storylines that I think most(if not all) of yall will greatly appreciate.

This week's update was just finishing the sketches Slitheris posted 2 weeks ago. Based on what I could read of the post, this girl has a Spider that obeys her? Meh.

On the upside, LOTS of good progress on the other type of ZG art. Definitely worth checking out.

Yeah, I really don't know where he is going with the whole "pet spider" thing. But it kinda hints to the direction he will be taking in his future works, I still hope he finishes his ongoing stories.

Also, I guess some people were indeed starving for new content...

I don ´t think so. Zerogravitas is taking schemes from different types of military units into his Stories, this one is a hunter that uses a trained spider as pet for assistance, with focus on scouting and finding persons and monsters. I doubt he will do more stuff on a regular basis with befriend monsters, I guess he will do something new after that. Maybe a grenadier, maybe an artillery or aircraft unit, who knows.

Or his patrons. It wouldn't surprise me if he noticed subscription numbers going up during the spider stories and drew conclusions (and more spiders).

well, spider stuff are pretty niche compare to other bug adjacent things like cockroach or fly, especially with this type of quality.

so i think it's both, he likes drawing girls getting fucked by spiders and other people follows him because of it.
