I think its more like he doesnt want to do it anymore than animations not being lucrative.

He is pulling in 1.7k on patreon with very vanilla pinup drawings. Im not saying that its a huge amount, but if he wanted to do serious animations, people would definitely pay for it.

I wish the bastard would just say he's canceled the animations already he still sometimes says he's working on them and he'll retweet lord Dominator posts on Twitter and it's the most infuriating thing ever! that small sliver of hope keeps me coming back

I don't know how to break it to ya - but that Lord Dominator thing ain't gonna happen. I love the old Zone animations enough to choose this very obvious avatar, but it's over. All she did for the past 15 years is semi-frequently post SFW dress-ups of her self-insert Zone-tan on her patreon. The costumes being whatever the patrons demand.

Best guess. She has some sort of job that pays the bills, and still does this minimal amount of (private) animation out of nostalgia, to keep a dear hobby going, and make a few bucks on the side. That's perfectly fair.

Actually doing full scale animations again, would demand she turned this into her full time gig. She didn't manage to pull this when there where like 12 artists around, people were actually paying per view, and she was the biggest dog in the park. On the contrary she bled money doing Ghost Busters. Now there's hundreds of artists, everything leaks instantly, the hole scene is drowning in AI slob, and but a few no one even remembers her.

Not gonna happen, let it go. But cherish the good we got.

I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just sad because there was no announcement of "I'm done", just "I'll get to it later" when we know that's not going to happen lol

Those were before stuff like patreon, and not a lot of people were willing to give out CC information to hentaikey or even use hentaikey at all. So of course it wasn't as lucrative. Shit, I didn't start paying content creators on patreon until 2018.

Which part in particular? She shows the updates to Daytona every friday stream, usually with a update to the 2.0 model of zonetron as well. No frames shown from ankhazone 2 but she has played the egyptian song that will be used on it within the past couple of streams.

I found a compressed folder in the old Zone-Archive thread here at F95 containing XXXtreme Ghostbusters: Special Edition. It's 1.70 GB, and I believe it might be slightly higher quality than the version from this thread. Just thought I'd mention it if anyone's curious.

Sorry to come back on this post, but I only now saw it. I had seen only last year the ghostbusters one, and I just discovered there is a version with a kind of post credit, so, I was curiosu to see the special edition, can you post a link ?
Also, anybody knows if he (or she, as someone suggested) ever did anything else with ghostbusters, or if someone else has done anything with them even just close to his one ?
I personally really liked it, the only part I was sorry about was that it could have been even longer :-D

It's that topic again ^^. Zone doesn't speak on streams - they always had friends/colleagues do the talking.

Maybe they're male. They supposedly once had their newgrounds profile listing them as female before changing it to unspecified (like that means anything). Also some credit of some hentaikey game supposedly identifies them as Vanessa Santiago - I'm not gonna check that. Also back in the day there were some pictures floating about 4chan, that were supposedly of her.

In the end nobody knows. I know of twenty year old forums discussing this very topic however so I'm glad the tradition is being held up still.

Though it doesn't matter. I'm going with the female version. No guy would list their gender as "unspecified"? A girl that doesn't want to get daily mail from creeps, would however do that exact thing.

Says theres a clip but doesnt have it, super reliable lol. Its clear that Zone is a female, has been for years.
