Again, look for the text below her profile pic and large fatigue bar on the management screen. I'm pondering ways to make more space to increase that text size.

As for adding status text in the girl picker below her icon, that'd be about the only way do show what all of the 'management' and maybe 'profile' girls are doing, which might look a bit messy. I'll ponder that though...

A third screen with a list of assignments could be an option I suppose...

Brainstorming time!

OK, so this idea has been brought up a few times with various nuances.

The suggestion/idea generally falls along these lines:

1) Heroines should be corrupted first in the Lexcorp Cells when first captured, and THEN once they are more 'compliant' they may be sent to work at the GS/MB once they are fully corrupted.

2) As a Heroine's corruption level is increased, she may be scheduled at the GS/MB for 'more involved' activities.

There's probably a few variations on this, but yeah...

Some people want to have one or more of the girls 'all to themselves' without sharing their bodies with customers, etc.. The 'other girls that are captured' such as Lois Lane, Lana Lang, Darci, etc. are already on this path...

So essentially we have three paths here to consider:

1) Moneymaker Path ('default' behavior, as seen in SU)
2) Trainer Path*
3) Lex's Personal Love Slave path*
*Paths 2 and 3 would both 'start out' in a Lexcorp Cell, while path 1 starts out at the GS/MB.

For those that aren't acquainted with the premise of the mind control devices, there's an episode of JLU (I think) that covers this. Essentially it has Hero types being mind controlled to fight each other in cage matches that Roulette and Lex(?) have arranged to rake in a bunch of cash. It's been a bit since I watched the episode, but essentially the Hero types wake up the next morning, perhaps with bruises and maybe even injuries, and with no conscious memory of what happened the night before. THIS is the precedent for why Path 1 is the 'default' behaviour in SU Unity.

In any case, my point is that it's possible to set up different paths for different girls, but then the question becomes, how can Lex afford to do ANYTHING ELSE but Path 1 in the early and early-mid game?

There's also the angle of Villainesses working in the GS/MB that has been discussed, I have a few ideas on that. Essentially some might do so willingly, while others will need to be mind controlled to become 'more compliant'. So you'd have to purchase Lexcon devices for the less willing ones...

Then there's the issue of making sure that Killer Frost doesn't freeze off johnsons while guys are having sex with her, but that's already sorta kinda covered by the 'suppress superpowers' ability of the Lexcon devices, and also essentially power suppressors built into the walls of the Cells/GS/MB.

These 'power supressors' are why these 'otherwise trivial' upgrades cost so much, in order to set up a performance slot at the GS/MB.

But I digress. Any thoughts on how to set up each path, and how to differentiate each path? Criteria for making each path available?

My preference would be a variation of Trainer Path, but with the option to clone the girls at some point, like this you can have all the scenes from the Glmaour Slam and the other place that I forgot the name, and have the girls to yourself if you don't like to share. This open the possible scenarios of the real girls meeting their clone/slut counterpart and Lex threatening them with this outcome.

Here's a quick mock-up of what Marvel girls would look like in the SU style :p
Looking good so far. Personally, I'm more into the 'Jessica Alba' Sue Storm look (face wise, body/costume is fine) but that's probably not true to the comics.

Other than that, we'd need a few more sprites to 'fill in the blanks' as far as the interface goes. Take a look at a few of the 'barebones' girl folders (Donna Troy is probably as good as any ATM) to see how I have these set up. I usually just 'crop' a suitable pic for the profile bust pic, but I like it to be different from the body sprite that is used in conversations, and if I can find one that works well facing to the left, yeah...

I'm in the 'Lex could just clone everyone and then keep the originals for himself' camp as well, but even Lex will get bored eventually...

If cloning becomes a 'default', it kind of lessens the 'thrill' of having a couple of clones around. Of course, clones could be the 'moneymakers' but again Lex would probably REALLY be pushing his luck here threat level wise...

So I'm not against having more clones, but I think there need to be controls, otherwise it just becomes too repetitive and SU is already too repetitive...

To clarify, IMHO a few more clones as an option yes, but not EVERY GIRL... Maybe there are special chemicals that are needed for each clone attempt, which cost money and perhaps require new heists...

I just checked the Version 0.25 Mega links and they are still there for me. Define 'bad'...

As for mirrors, we are a LONG WAYS from setting those up. This isn't a game thread yet, it's a development thread, and I've been uploading new demo builds almost weekly, which would drive the uploaders insane...

On a somewhat related note to the 'paths' thing, I'm thinking about adding a couple of 'negative value' boxes to the Corruption meter. Essentially these will 'fill in a bit' as a girl completes each performance type in the GS/MB. My thoughts here are that a girl needs to strip at least once before she does eroplay, etc. This should pretty much already happen, but it 'fits' with the 'easing the girl in' narrative that was established in the intro. Device upgrades could also index said corruptions levels, i.e. 'can't upgrade to Device Level 3 until the girl has stripped at least once/has a corruption level of -4'.

This would mainly just be for 'more flavor', in keeping with the existing narrative. As to how these 'negative boxes' might be treated on the Trainer/Personal Love Slave' path, initial cell encounters might need to 'burn through' these negative points before things advance, but I'm already thinking that there would be an alternate conversation tree for said paths...

I get the issue with cloning, It's just my personal preference not to share the girls and cloning seems the only logical way to have it all the currently and future content in the game (cloning only some girls doesn't mean alot, either you share the originals or don't). But that's just my opinion, perhaps one day someone else can come and made a mod that aims to make that division between the girls/clones since it would be more dialogue necessary than art necessary. Thanks for your hard-working in making such a strong base for the game!

There could be a path to accomplish this. Essentially once Savage sets you up with the $100K donation, you'd just do cash heists to boost your income, letting the threat level cool off as needed, and of course (once they are introduced ingame) lure Harley into your care and capture Lois. And maybe let your firstpick dance a few times but not strip or anything, or simply not schedule them to keep them 'even more pure'...

Once you have enough cash for the cloning equipment and special materials, then clone and go.

This still loops back around to the 'Trainer/Personal Love Slave' path that I mentioned earlier. I'm looking for ideas r.e. how to best approach that, while still 'staying true' to the original premise of the Lexcon devices...

I think this whole idea is great! Honestly, i’m more interested in this than the original version after last update’s disappointment.

I agree the cloning idea can be fun. There could be the possibility of showing a heroine a live feed of what their clone is doing at the bordello. Their reactions could be entertaining.

I also have an idea of something they didn’t do in the main SU: leash walks leading to sex. Idk, maybe as another level to the walk, Lex tells them to pick up a bum from the street and make his night. (Side note - can we not have to do a thing three times with a heroine before we unlock the next level? It gets very repetitive after a time) I don’t know how feasible this idea could be, I seem to remember Mercy fucking Lex in a back alley at some point, maybe the images from that could be replaced?

Either way, I feel this project has the potential to add lots more dialogue with the heroines during/after their “quest” is done. I feel the fact that you can‘t talk to the heroines after you “complete” them to be very disappointing.

Another hope I have is being able to replay scenes with dialogue in the game, the lack of dialogue in the replays just makes it look like a slide show even more.

edit - Also, you gotta find a way to get Ahsoka into the game

At least in the original, it seemed like GS/MB performances were outright mind control, because Lex could do that, and he didn't use mind control in the cells because that wasn't any fun. Of course, we're discussing other ways we could do things, but that dynamic from the original doesn't seem to me like one of the things that really desperately needs to be changed.

While that’s the case in the original it basically makes the GS/MB completely useless after a certain point in time and ostensibly they’re a major point of the game.

I like the corruption route, personally, of building the girls up to be willing to do both of those locations again without mind control. I’ve always hated having those locations empty.

You could also do this with clones and/or robots along the way… I don’t see an issue with cloning all of them, it fits in fine with the “cosplay excuse” currently in the game, and I think would generate less threat than the actual girls. maybe it’s just a choice you can make or ignore all together if you don’t care about those locations.

I’m much less a fan of trying to rework the entire game to accommodate an entirely new route to money unless those that want it can pitch an idea that makes sense within the context of the game.

It seems like the original SU game was already start with the moneymaker path to build up facilities and then move the heroines into a trainer path as scheduling permits. The only change that I can see is that you might want to make some changes on the trainer path such as developing fetish paths, (see Superpowered).

The only advantage that I can see with cloning is for creating an army of fully compliant (like Galatea), superbeings for taking on other villians such as Grodd, Savage or even Darkseid. OR Substitute a compliant clone back to the JLA and keep the real one for yourself full time. Either option has lots of complications. Might be best to limit cloning to limited applications

Could use a better detailed Changelog though, . . .

Regarding using the supervillianesses on stage at GS & MB, they do evil stuff for money, the only question is how much for how long and would it be profitable. It wouldn't always be for money, it might be for something that they really, really want!

So yeah, I managed to squeeze in that 'Current Assignments button! That goes to this screen:

I even managed to squeeze a Threat Level meter onto the Profiles screen...

Note that I added a couple of boxes to the Corruption Bar. The Red boxes are for GS/MB performances, the Pink boxes are the 'chat only' parts of the corruption progression, with the cyan boxes being when the action starts...

I also managed to incorporate a Threat Level meter into the Villains Interface screens as well...

I probably should rename ReImagined to Hella Button Overload, but personally I like having a bunch of options at my fingertips, as opposed to jumping between a bunch of menus to do anything...

Anyways, so yeah the Assignments screen will be a thing in the next update. I may set up a 'patch' update once I tackle a few more bugs, as opposed to a 'full' update, as the only thing I really changed was the screens here...

My opinion is that the Devices do the corrupting for you, as they straight up mind-control the girls to do stuff. You can upgrade their Devices to corrupt them more and make them do more involved actions. So if there already are game mechanics present to do this, there is no need to manually corrupt the girls as well.

I think the compromise there would be to have the same progression as it is in SU Unity: Capture and mind-control girls to make money through GS and MB. If you do not want to put them there, you could rely on heists instead and upgrade their Devices all the way to put them to Lexcorp Cells first (like you can already do in SU Unity). This may or may not require rework of heist rewards and villain costs, which is something you are already doing anyway.
After going through some (/most?/all?) of the girls Cell progress, you could unlock the option to upgrade their Device even more to let them go (back) to GS and MB willingly (or under less severe mind-control?). This would play the same scenes but with lightly changed narration in the text boxes (just delete the word "mindless" and such). Until this upgrade happens, I think GS and MB should not be related to Cells through game mechanics.

This way everybody has a chance to play the game according to their preferences of kinks and/or internal story integrity. Best of all, it would be without the need to fundamentally rewrite the whole game in a different genre.
If you wish to play the game as it was originally intended - moneymaker path, you can. If you wish to ignore Roulette and keep the girls just to yourself, you can. If you wish to RP corrupting the girls before making them work, you can.

Also, I know that it is most likely not going to happen anyway, but if you really plan this to be something GSG or SR7 might want to take over eventually, it would be nice to stick to their original vision.

Chummer, if any of my stuff from the fanart thread is something you think is usable, go ahead and use it in your project, I give you full permission. Even if it's just as a placeholder. If you don't think any of it's usable, no problem, I won't feel the least bit slighted. That goes for you and for Mendoza, whatever form your guys' work takes. You're very polite so I didn't want that to be something holding you back from using it just in case. This applies to whatever future fanart I post in that thread too, if it's in there then consider it up for grabs.
