I dont really know but try to use a compatibility troubleshooter.

Did not work turns out its a bug when saving in town had to start a new game thanks anyway though.

he mentioned such a thing several versions back...when the city map was reworked saves from in town (v. 1.13 I think) didn't work anylonger in the later version.

Depends on whether you've done the second Temple of Quetesh quest. If you haven't, talk to Ziva, and it's mostly straightforward from there.
If you have, talk to Gabriel to the left of the temple entrance, he will teach you the skill.

where is the temple?

south than west from the village...the area is normally swamped with Groups of Goblins... at the start of this quest and ever after it's empty though

How to solved the pillar. right, right, down, down, left, down, left, left, left, up, up, right, up, up, right, right, up. Start pillar is the middle one with big globe on it.

I have a feeling this is the first game were my main character actually becomes religious and not just a nodding attheist in a church :þ
