why doesn't this have the abandoned tag? plenty of other games that haven't received meaningful updates in years even though they're technically 'in dev" have been given the abandoned tag.
ie. Curse of Pleasure

giving this thing abandoned tag would (presumably) stop people from coming in here and bitching about the game not being out yet and make it much more obvious when (if, honestly) the game ever does receive an update.

Curse of Pleasure is actually the perfect example, as it's been "out" for roughly the same amount of time as this. Been effectively abandoned for years as well but it atleast has proper content

Curse of Pleasure is actually active, very slow but the DEV is working adding content monthly. u can see that in his discord.
the same this DEV, it seems he do update it, again slow, but looking at his patreon he is active.
both should be treated the same. so I agree, if one is abandoned the other should as well.
but it could be that YT is actually messaging the MOD here, and that would grant him a pass for awhile.
don't think Rannero is doing that.

An update was released at the beginning of last November. The update prior was last September. If you don't want this thread to be bumped, don't post.

that's why I specify *meaningful* update, if no-ones bothered to throw it on here it doesn't matter.
there's 0 content difference between whatever the last update supposedly was and the original alpha however many years ago. (aside from like...what...1 dress or marginally higher-res artwork or something)
- thats not "updating" by the standards of basically anyone besides the dev -
it's the exact same situation as Curse of Pleasure, dev goes "i'm totally working on this shit trust me bro", no content updates for years, occasional post of patreon or wherever else with more "totally working on it, I swear here's some half drawn sketch of scene (note, yummy doesn't even do this latter bit)".

and I just want to clarify, I *want* this to come out. I *want* there to be updates, I *want* to eventually corrupt the ever-loving hell out of Aylia and see Bogwart get some.
but what yummy may or may not have been doing for the last 6-7 *years* is not that.
0.11. the latest version on here, is from 2017 for christs sake
and again, not just trying to shit on Yummy here. this is a passion project they're not making any money on so whatever.

I still think the game should just be labelled abandoned so people don't just wander in here and bitch and moan about it not being done everytime this thread gets even a little bit active.

What you are saying is untrue. You may not define the last update as "meaningful" but, transitioning a game to an entirely new engine, which uses an entirely different coding language and runs at a resolution that is twice the size counts as an update. Literally every single piece of artwork in the game was either manually upscaled or redrawn. In fact, I'm posting two examples below so people can see how ridiculous saying "1 dress was marginally higher res" is.

As for the rest of your comment, I've released multiple pieces of artwork on Patreon that are not "half drawn sketches" since the last release. In fact, I'll include one of those below as well. I think you are confused, the latest version on here is NOT from 2017, it's from November of 2022.

I guess you are welcome to appeal to the moderators and tell them that you do not define a "meaningful" update as a release that uses an entirely different engine, entirely new scripts to run the systems in the new engine, a new battle system with entirely new UI, with vastly improved artwork, new music, and much more. If they agree with you, then I guess they will go ahead and label it abandoned. Seems like a really weird thing to do, but if you can convince the mods, that's their decision.

We'll agree to disagree. I cannot fathom how anyone would prefer the old artwork, but I guess art is subjective. Either way, the statement that "1 dress is marginally higher res" is completely false.

Also, this project stalled for far more important reasons than redoing artwork. So no, even had I not redone artwork, there still would not have been a complete game. Making a decent game is A LOT of work, and it's incredibly challenging to do as a solo dev.

as a dev alone it's actually difficult to make a good game if you don't do it full-time family and real life stuff comes along and health comes first but can also understand the other side find the game concept very good also the art work but the people naturally want to see progress are two sides of the same coin

I agree, and I'm trying to do that. I am not reworking to prologue now, everything I'm doing is new chapter 1 content. Apparently, I still tend to believe I will accomplish more than I actually do, and hence fail in meeting release estimates, but I am working on it. I've posted new artwork, and I'll be posting an update on Patreon with another new teaser shortly. My time is limited, as I'm not making money to do this full time, but things are slowly getting there. There will be more releases this year.

Because I'm a solo developer and I took a 3-4 year hiatus. I wasn't charging anyone. I started rebuilding the game in MV last year and have been moving forward ever since. I'm pretty excited about the upcoming releases, should be fun.

not realy : f95 generaly change into abandoned projet if the creator have more that 6 month betwen update or kless if the autor are not active
one of the few exeption is this game it is still in activ projet despice have not uptade since month ( and even more if you don't count the small one ) and the ONLY reason is because yumy don't make people paid since it on update only
