I get you - and as I wrote we're no angels either. But I can understand @CheekyGimp - the game was available within minutes of it being available on Patreon.
Don't know really - if it'd gotten here within the day that would have been fast enough I guess. But so fast I fear what it might mean for the dev's enthusiasm. This has to hurt - bad!
I remember this exact same thing happening to another game last week - was it Babysitter? There one user explicitly opened an account here to upload a new episode right after release (and never to be heard of again after that). That stinks - even to me.

Cheeky got fucked again?..the guy is such a good member and respected Dev here..he only asks one thing..to wait a bit...thats all..he happily chats with us listens to our feedback..we want more Dev's like him here..but if we cannot respect his ONLY request of us then we do not deserve him

Some of them seem to think any form of disagreement has no place here.
You were pissed and rightly so, it's honestly not okay to delete your post because of that, especially knowing your usual friendly and communicative presence on this forum.
Please don't let this bad experience drive you away.
I know it sucks that your game got leaked so soon, but you definitely get a lot of support from here. Many people who found your game here and started supporting you.

i patiently wait for games..in all my time here i've said some really derp crap..but i do not believe i've ever asked "whens the update"..i'm patient...i'd have happily waited another 7-14 days...there are dozens of games from here i play to keep me occupied.

Even in a community like this, there is still a certain amount of respect that dev's like cheeky earn (because he deserves it) but the immediate leaking of the latest version just shows a total lack of respect to him. Sadly it only takes 1 bad egg to spoil it for everyone. @CheekyGimp - I'm sorry to see the way you were treated mate... totally undeserved!

Right. But I find it sad sometimes when I find we (as a collective) seem to have lost all respect for each other. I'd like to think even pirates should (!) have a code of honor

B I don't pledge monthly because I think its absolutely bonkers to spend 12x 10$ for a year (most games have an average of 10 dollars minimum)
C I buy the devs a coffee every now and again when I can, this will have to be enough because I cannot afford more.
At the end of the day these games are side projects and I think when you are talented with a proper story to tell then the money will come. some devs get 10000+ a month. Seeing how fast this game is uploaded will only mean this dev will get more exposure and thus more money.
UNLESS: he becomes bitchy and pissy and he loses the goodwill of his (future) patreons.

The only posts that were deleted were A) posts that fall into the usual "we need a hero!" and "please be patient" before an update drops, and b) posts that contained abusive language towards other members. @fortuna95 your post was not defending anyone, but asking people to be patient about the update.
@botc76 the only posts of the devs that were deleted were calling one member a "sad thieving fucker" and another an "idiot" so please don't come in trying to stir the pot without knowing the facts. These are against the forum rules, regardless of who posts them and why.

When a dev who is a part of this community here, who listens to us, who participates and also creates a fabulous game for us to enjoy and all he asks for is that people wait at least a little bit before sharing the update and then he makes one understandably angry post about it and that gets deleted, then yes, even a pirate site needs to explain shitty behaviour like this.

Geez. I'm sure the forum will break due to that. That's exactly what irks me, the rules are above all.
I've been on a lot of forums and let me tell you one thing, a really good mod knows when he has to give a bit of leeway, instead of adding to the toxicity.
I have absolutely no interest in stirring up shit, but I call it like I say it and if I think something is wrong I will point that out.
