I'm in the same boat. I was already rolling my eyes when Miri came back into the story and then Orianna became a major focus. But I think there's now like three different groups of academy student side characters outside the main class (not even counting the SECs members), plus day 11 being so overstuffed also included the introductions of at least two new side characters (stalker girl + Emica) and spent time on convenience store girl, and Emma. And the MC just made plans to schedule a date with Inayawin???

Poor Miko, Kana, and Kagome feel like afterthoughts. Nene and Nagisa may as well not exist. I don't know when we'll get to the fun (and frankly quite compelling) Aki and Yui storyline. It already looks like Yukari is being sidelined for Emma.

I appreciate the deliberate pace of character development and various slice of life aspects mixed with higher-stakes plot stuff and mystery building, but there's just too many characters to see it ever going anywhere rewarding, even with regular/frequent updates. Dev time aside it just feels like too much to stay coherent.

There was a reason that I stopped playing a certain game, maybe the most popular, because nothing happend but a lot of new characters come and went and still do so. This game is going in that direction, so maybe my 5* rating will be an 1* instead. No more girls now!!!!!! I know we can say no, but still it means that the story is developed and take time from them I want to go on with.

I tried to reject Kana as well as June, with no luck, same for that catgirl (Mana, i think) rejected her only to be forced in a sex scene with her later on anyway.

As far as I'm aware any girl who was on the main cast list before the character menu got remade is going to be non avoidable. So basically the whole class and Ori.
Other than that I'm not sure who will or won't be.

This moment kinda pissed me off. It was a total moment where the dev said "oh you players want some really steamy hardcore action? Let me tease it to you. But...ah...the actual scene won't be available for another 5 years."

You're barking up the wrong tree here. I know you didn't like, ask my opinion or anything, but this kinda crosses the line from legitimate criticism into a preference issue. This is pretty much a linear VN where the choices don't actually have story repercussions, and seems to be driving toward a core cast harem that can't reasonably tell the story it wants to tell while making romance with those core characters optional.

I swear this is the F95 curse for games that start becoming popular: endlessly growing lists of love interests that bury the plot and smother earlier characters arcs.

Also a very light novel plot trend where the MC picks up new women every time he gains a bit of power and pretty much forgets about the lengthening list of women he leaves behind.

Anyways... The important question about the most recent update as I haven't gotten to playing it yet (as I just saw it and need to leave for work soon) is: how strong is the cliffhanger-fu in this update?

I actually like this game, not for the porn actually, the story is nice. As some folks here already pointed out at this point it feels like the story is not moving, we have way to many girls, I'm starting to get problems to remember all of them whenever a new version arrives, and that's not a good sign.
