It's really great that SotF is back! :love:

The last time i played it was in 10/2021, so i started a fresh game. What has me worried is the prowess system:

You do get more prowess the more women you bang, but not every woman is an "easy" lay.
Sheniqua and Imani require a relatively high prowess to get to bang them both.
On the other hand, if you have a lower prowess than the required one for banging both girls, you end up sending Sheniqua to the hospital, meet the doctor and get to heal her.
Roughly one third of the sex scenes you can gather prowess (almost all Marsha scenes, both Eveline scenes, both Samantha scenes, one Jo scene, one Jo/Nat scene). The other two thirds you can't. Why's that? :unsure:

When i tried to unlock Marys door i failed though i have the necessary 20 Energy displayed. A look at the actual value (console) showed only 17 Energy. :unsure:

I quite agree, but doing a full rework of older releases was beyond the scope of this update. My render box has evolved quite a lot from then. Also my understanding of DAZ of course.
I intend to do some rework of earlier versions while going forward. Until that is completed there will be changes to the graphic look from time to time as older images are replaced and new images probably added as well.
Main focus will be moving the project forward.

Image quality is a tricky one to address because it comes down to available time. Not only for setting them up but also for rendering them.
V. 0.8 has around 1100 images at 5 minutes of rendering which pops out at around 90 hours of pure render time. Admittedly I typically let the box render when I sleep, so I'm not really affected by that part of the equation other than the prize of electricity of course, but that's regardless.
When I started out on this journey I think one image took me between 30 - 60 minutes of rendering.

Anyway, this was not to berate or belittle your opinion, which I find valid. Just me rambling a bit about past struggles.

I feel one of the best "rework/remasters" i have seen was Shut up and Dance. There was a clear quality increase from the old to the new but he did not stop production new content to rework the old but instead alternated the releases, doing a rework of one chapter one update then next content the next and just alternating untill all the old versions were in line with the new graphics

Ok, the game somehow adds energy and prowess and displays the sum as energy (several saves checked).

My guess would be that it's this part of the "script.rpy":

I tried giving Mary a graphical update from an older model to a newer model (from gen3 to gen8)
Here is a quick comparison between the two.
They look somewhat different, but I haven't been able to match the tan exactly and there are more polygons in a gen8 model.
Also the hair is not designed for a gen8 model.
What do you think? Something I should continue with the other characters?
All in all I like the newer model ...
I am not saying that I will absolutely change Mary to the newer model, I'm just curious as to what you guys think.

Alignment is an idea to control choices based on what you use your "powers" for and thus lead the mc down three different ending path.
I.e.: You choose to do do "good" with your powers and you will be seeing more "good" choices down the line and less "bed" choices (like killing people and so forth).
That's the idea at least. I hope I will be able to implement it in a meaningful way, so always keep in mind that this is very much still a work in progress.

Kaffekop I also have a question. As far as I understand now, Mary’s asshole father dies anyway. Does this increase our chances of getting the "MC+Mary+Mary Sister" ending?

Yeah, I had to rein in that particular path as it would split the story way too much down the line.
Now Mary's sister and her daughter are an integral part of the family story and not something that you can opt out of, as it was originally planned.
You can opt out of pursuing them of course but not the part of getting the family back together.

One question, tho:
Is it by design, that you're forced to kill Mary's father when you got "NatHelp", "MomCest" and "MarshaFucked >= 3"? Because meeting these conditions leads to the "ContemplatingMomTalk" scene where you kill Mary's father if your focus is >= 1 (not avoidable).
