Thanks for sharing. Literally same game with polished UI but have less content. Only pros it's using Renpy now. Other than that. It's nothing more than milking.

Pros

- Using Renpy.
- Polished UI

Cons

- Now 3-4 actions per day due to the new time system. This means that you will miss many scenes because the game has a system that is limited to the maximum number of days.
- It contains approximately 5% content compared to the old version. I know this is early access. But this means that it will take years to reach the same point.
- They still use animations from 15 years ago. Currently, 90% of the developers working with Renpy produce much higher quality animations.
- There is nothing that feels new in the game. The only change I noticed is that the GYM trainer used to be female, now he is male. And they changed the location of the bathroom in the house.


I don't understand why they gave it a different name like American Sunset. They could import the existing game into Renpy and add extra scenes. Apparently they can't produce new content anymore, and today, like big game companies, they make remastered versions of the same game 20 times.

The current release floating around is just a teaser to show the new interface and clearly not intended to be a full fledged product. They're removing the time limit, adding all of the original content plus whatever was in the expansions as well as adding a bunch of new content. They listened to feedback on the teaser and are adding an additional timeslot each day as well at 6am.

Combine that with the shift to Renpy and the quest based rather than random event based system and I don't see what there is to complain about unless you bought one of the previous versions and are just mad about having to buy the new version. From what I can tell the new version will be superior in every respect once it's done.

Yes I bought old version. Now they are selling same game with new UI and less content. They could make Expansion or DLC and they could change UI also. But no, they decided make same game from 0. Maybe they will add same old content again but in a year or two. We will see.

Download roommates. The included cyberfox installation with it runs the old html endings perfectly. I just can't remember if its the one hosted in the lede or if it's buried somewhere in the thread's pages.

So on living with a nympho I clicked miniweb.exe in the server folder instead of start.bat [forgot what starts the game, been a long time], some command prompt window popped up so I just closed it [mentions host,web root,max clients,dir listing enabled etc]. does that do anything? megalol sorry if its a silly question, not sure if it does anything to my pc or its some informational thing.

just helps to run ripped from logpold site Unity WebGL games so when u run bat file it runs miniweb 1st and after that game page in ur default browser.

thanks for the cyberfox recommend, however when i try to open html ending, i have a blank screen. am i suppose to use cyberfox as default browser? so when i get the prompt to view ending, it should show?

first - you have to use the one included with that game, it has the additional plugins needed as well, not just cyberfox out of the box. Secondly, you may have to click screen or icon to left of url bar to allow flash/html video.

I didnt set it as default, I just copy pasted the ending url into the browser.

Guess it will be littered with bugs right now. I'll wait at least a couple of days before playing it, if the mighty megalol will succeed ripping it.
I do have a LOP Gold account to support the creators, but I haven't logged in months. I ain't playing this shit online, on a computer.

Leo is living in a fantasy world with this business model. Shoving my kids out of their room for a couple of hours and putting a lock on the door " 'cos daddy has some important work to attend at the computer" isn't the world I live in.

The second these games can not be ripped and played on a phone anymore (thank goodness for the Ren'Py transition), LOP won't see a penny from me.
