What application do you use to unzip the split files?

As soon as your unzipped the split files update the game with the update only files from OP. Afterwards follow the instructions how to turn the Windows version into a native Mac version (see FAQ).

As KING COLD already pointed out you don't HAVE TO use an emulator to get a Mac version good to go... it is enough if you have the Mac core which you can find here

and simply download a full version of Windows - extract it's www folder - place it's content into it's respective place on Mac - and you are good to go !
If you want to use emulator though ( dependent on your rig of course ) I'd go with VirtualBox - PlayOnMac - Wine mix... ( Wine won't do if you have ARM chipset keep in mind ! )

THIS IS IMPORTANT! Before updating or changing anything with your game make a copy/backup of your www folder so if anything goes wrong - and one day it will go wrong! - you can roll the game back to your last working version by replacing the fucked up www folder with your old one. If you don't do this you could end up with a wrecked game and have to download the whole thing again which is a pain. YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO BACKUP YOUR WWW FOLDER BEFORE UPDATING TO AVOID DISASTER! You have been warned and now here's the Windows/Linux update of The Genesis Order v.99032 which you install at your own risk or no risk at all if you make that www backup first.

The Update Maker app should work with the next NLT Media (SotS) game, i.e., make incremental updates from a recently updated Windows version of the game, provided the directory structure of the updated game remains the same. I recommend keeping a copy of this tool because I won't be providing updates to SotS once TGO ends and somebody else will have to step-up to do updates for SotS when it eventually begins.

Im using the unarchiver but for some reason there is an error on decrunching. Though I chose to continue, "the .7z file is unable to expand due to unsupported format" its said
ah, i thought you knew, sorry. VM stands for "Virtual Machine": basically a way to run a different copy of an operative system inside your own one, without needing for partitioning etc. it basically run as just another software.
VirtualBOX (as already pointed out) is free and quite efficient

Pretty disappointing and short update - would have been even shorter if it wasn't for stupid searching for demon fossils - I really hate those 'just click everywhere in the hope of finding something' puzzles.

What did you expect? the game finished when it reached 78%. It's been garbage time since then.
