The challenge is getting all the patrons to switch to subscribestar. Especially with patreon being the go-to for most creators' support. If all his patrons moved to Subscribestar, it wouldn't be a problem.

I guess they might, once they realize they are getting a censored version, eh?The challenge is getting all the patrons to switch to subscribestar. Especially with patreon being the go-to for most creators' support.
This is posted on Patreon in public, so it's not off-topic. It's about cut content on the Patreon version, and it even says so.Better to keep this kind of conversation to PMs. It's off topic and also patreon is known to have checked here and discord when "passing judgement" on developers.
There wasnt any incest or beastiality in the game before, and there is none nowOut of curiosity, what content did you have to cut (I assume incest and bestiality maybe more), and will it effect the original vision of the game? Will said content be added in like an SS only release or something?
When is Emily going to get another scene with Mcgucket? I want to see her suck his balls. And to not mislead any supporters, there is only one version of the game available across both platforms
I'm reading between the lines here, gotcha. Thank you for being a good christian, patreon abiding, porn maker. There wasnt any incest or beastiality in the game before, and there is none now
So Subscribestar version is also censored? -.-' What is the point then? And to not mislead any supporters, there is only one version of the game available across both platforms
The point is maintaining my business so I can keep making the game. Is this a real question? So Subscribestar version is also censored? -.-' What is the point then?
I think they question is actually: "if SS doesn't have a problem with it, why change that version of the game too?"The point is maintaining my business so I can keep making the game. Is this a real question?
That is one aspect, and Patreon tries to cast a wide net on all content a creator makes. They seem to think that they control everything that is "patreon funded", which extends to everything you makeI think they question is actually: "if SS doesn't have a problem with it, why change that version of the game too?"
A And I believe the answer would be: "Because making 2 versions of the game wouldn't be possible"
Could be possible but it is very hard to deal with it. NeonGhosts dev from Friends in Need mentioned that he is thinking about using patreon for another project in the future while focusing efforts only in one game version instead of two. But that won't be feasible now since more than half of his subscribers still come from patreon.I think they question is actually: "if SS doesn't have a problem with it, why change that version of the game too?"

The compromises are understandable and it's probable that patreon granted little leeway. Comply with our ridiculous rules or lose your page, nevertheless it's incredibly frustrating to see it happen and miss out on great content. And the compromises begin.
Shhhhhhut upAnd the compromises begin.
