it affect some, like if you bring kylar to your hose, after you having sex with her, there's a chance that robin will sees you and reduced her love. or in the class when someone asking if you were a lover or not, if your anaswer is not lover, it'll reduced her love. as for whitey, you'll able to act with love to whitey bullying. But yeah, lover seems useless since if you have max love with others it didnt affect anything with current lover. even with just max love without being love interest, you can still being romantic with others.

One thing affect the most if you have " Mate For Life " trait, it reduced your trauma and stress if you sleep or having sex with your love interst. if you change your love interest, it'll increase your trauma and stress idk for how long, i never tried to change it.

She has lots of content and special animal transformation interactions that you will miss out on,so its worth pursuing her romance. Plus,she is one of the only 3 NPCs that you can start a genuine romantic relationship with(the other 2 being Sydney and Alex).

Besides,there really are no downsides of romancing her,the whole Bailey payment thing can be managed pretty easily.
Go for it.
