You're probably clicking the locaiton marker above it - you have to click the actual building underneath it, it's not very clear.
Agree with the general sentiment - there's promise, but this is very rough. For a start, it might be easier to include variables in scenes to show different images, and just have a choice at the start than have 2 entier versions. It would also slim down the file size on having both, since shared images won't be downloaded twice.
Indications of where you're clicking on the main map would be very helpful.
I prefer sandbox games myself, I can engage with the content in somewhat the order I want - and to some extent, ignore anything less my speed. The arts good, the characters themselves seem good, and somewhat defined - but it's pretty early. The biggest issue here now is - most people are going to expect this to be abandoned; like Failure to Launch, Dickgirl Crowd, Transsex Education, Exiles, SinCity, the list goes on.
On the last point - it might be worth at the start, doing many, smaller updates - even if it's one scene, or no scene - even if it's barely anything. If you keep releasing something every week - 2 weeks, you can hopefully build up a little bit of faith. At any rate, I would like to see where this goes
