I think that people expecting the game to open up Bangkok soon are going to be disappointed, and I think the reason for that is understandable. The Bangkok mission start will be the crossing of the Rubicon for this game - it's future pretty much rides on the success of the game at that point. So, Crush is trying to get all of his/her ducks in a row before that. I am sympathetic to arguments like "I don't see how whether Dad was a sergeant or a colonel in the Army is going to affect the whore job in Bangkok," and I agree with that. There is a lot of lily-gilding going on at the moment, as far as I can tell. But, I am also sympathetic to Crush wanting to have all in order (including scriptwriting skills) before taking the plunge. If you think the complaints are loud now about the pace, imagine what they'll be like if major bugs crop up after the Bangkok story starts!

I will say that the writing is getting better for the game, so the time used in creating the backgrounds and Operation Lioness hasn't been wasted. I'd say my attitude is that I am patently impatient.

I'm working on making the mom & dad jobs – as well as the upheavals your family can benefit from or suffer – interrelated so that there are no incompatible pairings, and so that the upheavals are things that could conceivably happen to your family. (Now that there are parent jobs, the Upheavals can be a lot more rich: e.g. your military NCO dad can get promoted, get kicked out of the Army, become a private contractor, become a military advisor in Hollywood, be KIA/WIA/MIA, get PTSD, etc etc).

I'd try and give the developer a little more time before jumping to conclusions. Many games, in the past, did progress slowly or felt like would be abandoned, but that didn't really happen. And i understand the desperation of the people playing this game to get the real "work as a whore" update. Believe me, I DO ;)

I'd rather wait for a little while and get a GOOD to worthy update rather than have the dev releasing updates too quickly but not even fit to play.

So, be patient mate :D

I do. The bit you quoted was a report on a new process we're trying out called "polishing days", in which I improve existing content instead of working on the current dev sprint: the idea is that existing systems are enriched as the game moves forward. Polishing days were suggested in a dev vote on Feb 28 and the result was 71% in favour, so we're trying them out.

I really appreciate your interest in the game, Tanzie, come talk to me on Discord sometime! I would love to prove to you that your cynicism is misplaced.

I wanna get there too, but my plan is to tackle some foundational things first.
  • 1.5 (current sprint) we are upgrading the avatar to support rear view, selectable facial features, selectable ass shapes, and some other things. All existing clothes will need to be redrawn to fit the new avatar, and Bangkok will require us to draw lots of new clothes (because the PC is getting a job as a stripper), so creating clothes that we'd need to redraw later would literally be a waste of time. It's better to tackle this now because the longer we leave it, the bigger this task gets.
  • 1.6 (next sprint) we need to upgrade the random NPC generator so it creates NPCs of different nationalities and behaviours. Bangkok will rely heavily on randomly generated NPCs, so we need to make them more interesting than the guys from the Scottish nightclubs currently are.
  • 1.7 (next sprint) we need to upgrade the Sex Engine so the sex scenes are more interesting and varied. Again, Bangkok will rely heavily on sex scenes so we should build this before we get there.
This roadmap isn't set in stone, but I think it's the best path to making sure that Bangkok delivers on expectations.

And that is where the problem lie... Avatar upgrade is almost completely pointless (so we'll have a backside... big deal) and NPC generator while sounding important is really not that important. Because what will you use them for? Generating customers at brothel is a given but what else? Because if brothel is the only thing that will use them then don't bother... because they don't matter.

In fact, you should reduce generic brothel scenes to bare minimum... have NPC with certain expectations and then roll against agents skillset to see if she managed to meet those expectations. That's it. There is no need for lengthy description of how those scenes play out. It's similar to how Scottish nightclubs play out... for first play through we all most likely read what happen to see what it can happen. After that, most people simply pick the first guy and go on with the plot.

There is quite a few games out there that deal with premise similar to yours and they all have one thing in common: generic prostitution scenes are given minimal description (we get to see the client and once chosen we get the result... either success or failure) with all the focus being on various scripted events involving scripted unique customers. The reason for that is simple: nobody likes grind and we all tend to avoid and minimize it. And that is exactly what brothel scenes with randomly generated NPC's will be: grind. I know you'd like to have brothel scenes interesting and varied, but unless you plan to write several hundred (if not thousand) variations of the same scene you will most likely fail because grind can never be interesting.

So of the three things you plan to upgrade before going to Bangkok, the only one that really matter is Sex Engine... and you plan to do that last.

Actually I agree with what Ripe has suggested, because after a certain point the sex scenes will take too long to navigate through and eventually you'll just want them to be either a success or a fail. You should have a few base scenes and add in some extra events and then as the game goes on you can write more base scenes in for variation.

I think the only sex scenes that should have choices on what to do should be some of the important encounters where you have to seduce 'x' character in a certain amount of choices or something. Cause honestly even the night club pick ups at the moment are just long and tedious to navigate through.

You could generate npcs with x amount of confidence (based off their looks and what not) and roll that based against your seduction/persuasion/attractiveness or whatever, then roll off sex skill to see if you satisfy them or not or whatever.

Anyways looking forward to Bangkok content (hopefully sometime soon)

This game gets real buggy if you refuse to play along and don't do want it wants you to do. In Cathouse, hung out with a "good looking" guy just to see what happens, till about 8 AM, which I wasn't supposed to do, naturally I wasn't able to invite him to the safe house, so eventually I got rid of him at about 08:30 and then Bettis came up with another guy, but now I don't have *any* options to continue with the game, both options are grayed out. A similar thing happens in Corinthian as well, the bar never closes unless you make a move on the guy you hang out with and so on.

Does the gun (Glock 19) have any use in the current version?
There's nobody to shoot with it, it's more an opportunity for characterisation and dialogue at present. Requesting it – and the way you behave with others – has a slight effect on your reputation with the task force, which can lead to slight changes in the final debriefing with Clark & Olivia. This was a test of a bigger Reputation system that we're intending to implement later.

It's a minor issue, but in my opinion, asking for the player input about "where she wants it" every time she's had sex is a bit anticlimactic, if not a bit annoying.

Were you hoping for things like FF/FFM with Bettis, having real sex with Connor on the stage in front of the teenage crowd, having group sex during the porn shoot, getting gangraped in the men's toilets inside Oceana? I sure was. :ROFLMAO:

Thanks for being here with us and delivering such a promising game. I would really apreciate if that stuff was depending on players choice. My idea of the main character so far is that she does not go straight into drastic physical and psychological changes but rather step by step, maybe with a major boost due to the hypno stuff. I would want to avoid any body changes and prefer a story line in which she can take risks or not, achieving a goal on different ways, maybe failing some steps inbetween without getting a bad end or failing a task, with a focus on how far she is going to take her role in order to get somewhere. If you turn our agent into some kind of bimbo or whatever, I don't think it would fit the story. After all she's a trained agent, studied, and so on. I would prefer if you stick to that kind of character. "Good girl gone bad" is a nice one, but its story is totally different. Keep this one unique, we are talking about a secret agent, not some dumb woman falling into deprivicy, don't we? Some sexy James Bond porn story with a female agent. I'm looking forward to it, but please don't mess up!

Completely agree with @ray3dave. A Harvard graduate with 130 IQ turning into a bimbo is so very unlikely that it completely destroys immersion and an intelligence agency would never employ a stupid bimbo as an agent.

Okay, here's one... We have a baddie who's protected by a group of female bodyguards commanded by a dominatrix who handpicks and trains these guards. She expects them to be pretty, strong, agile and most importantly, obedient to death. Anyone who fails her tests meets a gruesome death, gets eaten by sharks or something worse, like, ahem, in a usual Bond movie. Anyways, our goal is to sneak into these group of guards in order to gain intel about this guy. :p Edit: Naturally, these guards are pretty scantily clad due to no other reason than the hot weather! :ROFLMAO:

Well, I'm kind of a transformation and humiliation freak, so take my suggestions with a grain of salt. I've found I'm usually not the target audience for most games.

I think I was mostly playing through everything so far just grooming the protagonist for the mission, molding her into someone who could cope with adapting to a terrible situation.

If not for how the story pulled you along so well, I would have probably started skipping past things up until Bangkok, where it feels like you'd be getting past the point of no return. Feeling like you're on your own, with no backup or anyone to save you, so you have to start using desperate coping mechanisms to survive. Just focusing on the moment and trust you'll be allright in the end. What will she be willing to do for the sake of the mission? That's kind of what I was looking forward to.

Ideally, I'd find a story super hot if you can manage both surviving and "winning" at the end, while your body and mind both show extreme signs of the things you've been through. Like, you barely even look like yourself by the end, and you might almost instinctively obey orders, but you made it. You did the job, and you can never go back to the way things were.

And yeah, I'm a huge bimbo fan, but in this storys case it doesn't much sense to include that as a kink. Going along with increasingly degrading and humiliating changes to yourself all while convincing yourself its "for the mission", however... The hypno fetish might backfire spectacularly in that regard, letting you develop an alternate personality that just goes along with everything eagerly.

Anyway. I'm glad to hear there will be stuff like tattoos and piercings to go along with to keep your cover intact. I might check back on the game once Bangkok has been developed for a bit.
