The very first thing I wanted to do with Daz3D was to create my own character as much as possible with a complete beginner's skill set. So I decided to try to create a younger, in her 20s Asian girl. I'm not entirely happy with how it came out but I feel like I could've kept working on it forever and ever and I still wouldn't be happy with it in the end, so I'm gonna move on to different ideas and projects that I have in mind for Daz3D.

One of the biggest challenges I had was trying to recreate just what makes an Asian look Asian, if that makes sense? Every single nationality has their own little quirks and oddities compared to others. One of the things that stood out most to me in facial features though was the puffiness of the eyes in the upper and lower regions. I don't think I quite captured it, but it's taught me a lot about examining reference images for small details like that, at least.

I also feel like I made her eyes a bit TOO small for a realistic look and she's teetering in to the uncanny valley overall, but oh well.

I think she is half Asian. The skin would be a little bit lighter.
