Worst part is that the characters are great and the story is decent, he has all these great pieces to make a good VN, but instead we have a sandbox without enough side-events to justify it being one. Aside from some half-implemented sleep groping, everything could fit into a traditional VN.
That is the issue with all sand box games that is a work in progress. Lack of content. So the sand box become better the further you get on with the development. I don't really find VN's that add 5 mins of content every 1-2 months any better tbh.

If you don't like something then walk away.
Sounds like you found this game kinda late. People have walked away, just a few pages of replies after the update dropped says it all. This is a miniscule response compared to the previous updates. People aren't even bothering anymore. It's one of those things where people catch wise. Like when a game company changes their games to better fit gambling mechanics in there. It's not really "creative" decision, people start to see it and bail. Same thing here, the guy switched formats so he could do less each month, it's very transparent.

So you get robbed for your money and left with sore balls. Then told to buy a gun. So, how the heck do you earn more money?

Nevermind... apparently they just littering on the ground....

Happens with most devs that great these games, a soon as they get a certain amount of money that can support there needs they get lazy and do less work or constant remaster there game just so they can say that they are making the game better when in fact they make the game crap.

Now that's a great point, I agree with that. Using sandbox as the focal point of complaints doesn't really cut to the heart of it, it IS the severe lack of content. It's kind of a tragedy because the story he was telling in the VN section was pretty compelling and the content was substantial in those updates. All the forward thrust is gone now, you just a few disconnected when you do find a scene.. Milfy City and a lot of other sandbox games seem to have pretty good narratives and the scenes are long enough that it feels like the story is moving, so it's true that it isn't a sandbox issue.

Doesn't really look like Vilelab can get ready to retire anytime soon from Patreon income though. The creator is making the game he want to make, so then we left with the choice if we play it or not. (just as with any other game out there).

Can it be frustrating to hunt down new events and scenes? Sure, but if all people want is something that is on rails with little to no interaction, being hand held from point a to b. Then there is no game any longer tbh, why not just watch some flick on porntube or whatever?

See. this is the kind of info I am looking for when deciding whether to skip a version. Sorry Monique, see you in .006
She bust in on you having "happy time" in the shower.... think that is new in this version. (+1 lust/hate)
Think there is added some "touch and feel" stuff during the night for the girls, not sure.

The getting robbed, buy a gun and the bj stuff with the new girl in that dark street. Felt a bit like "why is this in the game?".

Haven't found anything else in this update.

I think boiling down peoples complaints about the sandbox issues in this game as "wanting something on the rails" is a bit disingenuous, It is more of "I don't want to click randomly for long periods of time trying in hopes of eventually finding something"complaints.

I have to disagree with that assertion in this case, it looks more like a conflict between the developers vision for the game and his ability make it happen.

Imho, it's a work in progress, so rag on the creator for not have the "ability to make it happen" doesn't really fly. If you want to judge any game, you need to judge it really by its final release. A lot of these "adult" games never reach a final stage and get abandoned. You wouldn't grab a unfinished car from the assembly line and then start moan about how bad it is either.

I'm more upset when creators turn coat after the wind, and let the supporters dictate creation. Best is when creators stick to their guns and create what they set out to do imho. Then it just come down to whether I like it or not, and end up play it or not.

Nobody would care if the game was a sandbox from the start, but it wasn't. It was a regular VN that looked to have tons of potential. Then suddenly it became a sandbox with minimal content, and people got upset because it ruined what they thought to be a great start for the game. Look at the reviews, it began with almost all 4 or 5 stars then it torpedoed into 1-2 star reviews.. Thats when the sandbox began.

The problem here is that he's remade this exact game 3 or 4 times just to fit this style, and after working all those redo's, he's progressed his plot about an inch. There has been almost nothing happening. Most people who design games as a Sandbox do so with the scenes for the sandbox already thought out. There shouldn't be giant leaps in time required to see events in order. There should be either repeatable or events that take place in order. If the game begins Sunday, and you only have 3 days of content, then it should happen Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, end of update.

What we have is Start Sunday.... skip to Friday because there is NOTHING anywhere else in it.

I think you will find several other games here where the creator have changed, and redone several times. A creator iterate on his game isn't anything new. Not with hobby creator/indie devs creating adult games, or main stream games with million budgets. The final judgment should be over the final product imho.
