Wow. Vilelab has really learned from the criticism. His new system works as bad as the previous one.
Why the hell can't devs without the skills neccessary to create sandbox games, just keep it to simple VNs?

no new content in my game as well...maybe fresh start is required...yet, old saves are valid/no errors...this game looks to me as a never-to-be-finished "work in progress"

Any chance of making this like Lukes way and doing away with the free roam? Reading the reviews sure is interesting to 5 stars really? fair enough on looks I can agree, but at least warn about the gameplay!

Like this is fucking news? Or some huge revelation? How many times have we heard game developers express this same sentiment? When they've gone down the free-roam rabbit hole, sideways and with their pants around their ankles, covered in piss and shit! Fuck me.
I'm feeling like a broken fucking record because of so many fucking dev's just failing to learn basic lessons from other games; their mistakes, and successes. But this is insane, the game has gone from meh, to bad, to worse.
I don't know why I bother holding out hope for some titles. GLHF.

Worst part is that the characters are great and the story is decent, he has all these great pieces to make a good VN, but instead we have a sandbox without enough side-events to justify it being one. Aside from some half-implemented sleep groping, everything could fit into a traditional VN.

Yeah, I don't get it. There are are many great, or just good IPs out there, that are being muddied by the dev messing around with free-roam or other unnecessary practices or features.
Get back to basics, deliver good stories with nice art. Stop trying to overcomplicate an otherwise beautiful thing.

my game stopped right after i dropped miko at home. very strange, and i started from scratch with a completely new install. any body have an idea why that happened ?

Yeah i still remember the game when it was "just" a VN and it was so nice with the story and these really cool characters. Then someone had the brilliant idea to turn this game into a sandbox system when they don't have nearly enough content in store nor a propper traveling and controll system for it.
Boy i'm ranting again about the same shit in this game...i really need to stop to look in this thread.

It's depressing how we have this exact same discussion with every update and nothing changes.
The game being a sandbox would work great if it was like Water World or Cure My Addiction (to name a couple) where there's tons of minor repeteable events and "sexy" images when you click on zones without them to make the world feel alive. Instead you have empty buildings, useless side quests (wrench, what the hell was that for?) and half the content of a usual monthly VN as it happens with most sandbox games.
He's making a linear VN, without a need to farm, and turning it into a sandbox, and it makes absolutely no sense.
