I would agree except that the player doesn't know how the mechanics work or what his moves actually do so you can't make sensible choices unless/until you've stumbled through the game enough times to memorize the effects. And those effects seem to change depending on circumstance so you can't even base expectations on previous results. What stats will this 'Road trip' affect? How does that compare to hypnosis? What does resistance do and how does it work? Is a 15 low enough? I have a behavioral goal, but no way to know if I am approaching the stats needed to achieve it.
Duh! Like all other games you need to get familiar wit the mechanics! Have you played Endless space 2, or Stellaris, or EU4, you will use a lot of time to learn how everything works together, and what works in which situation and what not. That is the norm and not the exception when it comes to non-VN games :)

With those games I would say it takes around 20 hours gameplay to get an initial grasp of them.

Most games that are in any way mechanically rich allow one to read the rules.

There's a difference between getting used to mechanics and playing blind. This is more like someone sets up a chessboard for the first time and tells you to go ahead and make a move. No not that piece. No that one can't make that move. Yes you can make that move and I'll take the piece like this! Don't worry, a few hours of frustration, and you might have a basic grasp of the game!

For example, what actually is Resistance? Does it reduce the probability of a request being honoured? Does it reduce the effectiveness of other ability change (i.e. high resistance gets less desire bump than lower resistance)? Does it do something else entirely? Another example: how can you know when you are successful and training is complete?

Each woman seems to have unique actions you can take. The only way to determine what those action do and how effective those actions are (since there are no mechanical descriptions at all so far as I can tell) is to try them. But with at most 10ish choices to complete a training, you can't afford to waste a action that is suboptimal. So you need to save, try, write down the result that flashes up that you can't find a record of, and try the next. And since each woman is unique, you can't even use what you learned on the next.

The solution is someone competent needs to salvage that old closed wiki and re open it so we can all know how the fuck this weird but wonderfull game works

So Elso is not in the game anymore, because her supporters are missing? Propably the most hottest character has to get extra money support to be in the game..? Sounds like a poor kind of blackmail to me. Since you can just forget about the buggy RenPy version and play the stable Rags version *with* Elsa any time you want.
the VOLUNTEERS who were porting Elsa kept going MIA. WT went through 3 or 4 different people who kept disappearing. and instead of making us impatient people wait for him to do it himself he gave us a release for play testing and bug finding

I had one with Donna when I played a few hours ago. I can't remember what, but I gave her something and after that all I could do was examine her. I couldn't get out of it.
I will play again tomorrow from one of my saves and try to do it again.

So I lost Rea. She hasn't been in the store for 4 weeks now.
I tried this rae.location = eros_store doesn't work

Also, the coffee shop is now empty after speaking to her once

I don't know why it didn't, summerjo. Unless the spaces on either side of the = sign are what's goofing it up. I was sure I'd done it both with and without spaces, but maybe I didn't.

Is it me or this game has no animation? Seem like a good game though
I just saw that movie King Kong from 1933 and the special effects are really bad. Seems like a good movie though.

If you set Chelsea's SOS to high she becomes happy with her body and doesn't want to change.

In order to successfully complete here as a client I needed to reduce her SOS to below 30.

So I lost Rea. She hasn't been in the store for 4 weeks now.

you can also just use the text: summon rae
This will bring her to what ever location you are at and she will follow you
use this to counteract that: dismiss rae

The time limit to accept and autocomplete Elsa needs to be set back to week ~13, or whatever it was before, pending implementation. The rep gain associated with this option triggers the second set of clients two months early, making scheduling unmanageable.

On this does anyone know if this can be changed via the console?
