Incest: Perhaps. The protagonist is an orphan, you lost you parents during the war of the Elanhir City States. But I might be able to implement a scene like that in the future, with a random family to show the terror a full transformed succubus. But to speak the truth, I don't have any plans for it right now. Too many characters and extra scenes to introduce in this first game. Time itself is our greatest enemy.

Succubization: Yes. There will be a succubus that shall be transformed from human to succubus in this game and can later suck you dry. She'll not be related in any way to the protagonist, though.

Not sure about Patreon's terms for incest (California has silly laws and even if characters aren't blood-related, you can expect something like "you're trying to lure people into incestual relationships anyway") but that would be a fun and unexpected addition especially considering the protagonist's background.

I really like the way you've been building the lore around your game, much better than doing it on-the-fly as you expand it. Gives some kind of choose your own adventure book feel to it too! (Maybe it's just me being a hopeless nostalgic heh. I'll go with "a small, isolated village" because I am a lone wolf and I am so gonna get raped. )

Don't sweat the planned features though, if people go crazy on the demo and are disappointed with the release because the demo actually had tons of planned content that attracted them and they expected even more, that'd really suck for a project with potential. Make sure you take your time, do it slowly and enjoy life while you can, we mortals (ha) only have so little to spare.

Doing it slowly also ensures you can do it regularly without your life taking too much of a hit. If you're going with Patreon or any other monthly "subscription" platform for the full development period, that's probably the better kind of option. You can also make people pay per post if you feel more confident with that approach, I've never tried it but the way it's described, feels less of a moral binding. If patrons don't mind either way then don't overthink that part.

Really specific question though, is dialogue like this throughout the game meant for just getting potential responses from succubi, or is it like event-triggering options somewhat?

Well, on smaller levels, for example, is that last option just leading to things like simply getting ridiculed before actual fights start? Or is it like an "I surrender" button leading to another scene? I like picking these out of morbid curiosity to see "What the hell, Player?" character reactions (among other things of course), but I want to know if there's options that can get the player to a sudden game over, if the game has outcomes like those.

Bigger picture: Say, for instance, if the player can encounter someone or something that outclasses them greatly. In short, I know dialogue definitely has an impact story-wise, but I'm asking if there are situations where, if you say the wrong thing, you're toast without a chance to fight, and therefore should be careful with your words since they matter.

Hi friend! Err... yes. Let me try to explain, because it really varies from case to case.
I have created the "temptation system" where:

-Before the fight, succubus will have a dialogue with you to flesh out their personality. If you say something like: "Please, drain me", you will skip direct to one of her first hentai scene. The first hentai scene will have variations depending on where you just wish to get drained by her, giving up before the fighting or actually lost during the fight.

-After you defeat her, she will tempt you one last time where you can either succumb or finish her off. If you succumb, the Brutal Energy Drain takes place, this is like the "true" scene. Longer and completely different then the first, where she'll make sure you suffer with energy drain for the humiliation you caused her to lose a fight to a mere mortal.

-During the battle itself, if you don't have Iron Will spell from the Soaring Gauntlet on and if she uses a temptation attack, a temptation scene will take place INSIDE the battle and will get worse and worse until your HP drops to zero. Note that she'll also greatly recovers her own HP. You must throw her off you, or succumb to pleasure.

-Finally, there will be temptation events, where you can succumb to a succubus in many ways. Imagine that a powerful mage asked you to guard a succubus while the authorities arrive. You are alone with her and she'll constantly tempt you to untie her and let her go or even better, enjoy her body. And this will get worse and worse... she'll first try to use her tail, then her mouth, then her anus or vagina. You must resist, otherwise, you ded.

-About succubus positions and why they use them:

--Succubi uses tail when they want to drain you while playing with their prey. Footjob, facesitting, etc.

--Succubi uses mouth when they are addicted to the smell and taste of sperm. They want to literally drink your life away

--Succubi uses anus to humiliate their preys. "You are pouring your life exactly where it belongs!" "Anal Execution" is a favorite for vicious succubus that want to take vengeance on you.

--Succubi uses their pussy as a reward. Since succubus don't feel pleasure by the act of sex alone (they feel pleasure by draining life, and is way stronger than a male orgasm), they usually use their vagina to a worthy opponent, after a good fight, or to simple seduce a man who prefers pussy over all else.

Can there be a mechanic, some item or power, where we can choose the scene after the fight, but manage to block the draining (Aka the defeat, not the sex scene)? I think the dynamic of the Succubus having a ray of hope after a grueling defeat, only to once again lose all hope would be pretty cool.

Also thank god for the second angle on that sex scene, your artist is smart, hopefully the creampie is from that angle as well.

I think you still misunderstood, It would be a alternative choice along with After you defeat her, she will tempt you one last time where you can either succumb or finish her off. Everything would start out as normal, but she would soon realize that the "Brutal Energy Drain" isn't working. Although it sounds like you've already given the answer.

Yes some devs get lazy with it and use premade maps and put nothing in them so it's all whitespace and gets walking simulatory but that's not the engine's fault
In fact the rpgm tag makes me relieved it's a game with actual intractability and not a vn but that's my personal preference.

The complete game? I'm aiming to January - February of the next year. To have all succubi, art, sprites, etc.
I'm working right now to release the demo this month, then I'll release per chapters on patreon until its completion.
