Hello everybody. English is not my language, so I will try to make it simple.
I'm starting with Daz, after looking at several tutorials and testing a bit this is my first scene:

Scene 2.png

"When you said you bought a new toy ..."

I take the opportunity to ask two questions.
The first is if someone can tell me why the skin looks this way.

Victoria 8 500i + HDRI + lights + anagenesis.png

I have used anagenesis and anagenesis 2, I have read that they could be used in Genesis 8, but I must do something wrong because I cannot get the skin to look good. In Genesis 3 I have no problem.

The other question is more theoretical, anagenesis, anagenesis 2, Alt Skin 8 and Skinbuilder 8 how do they work? I mean, do they overwrite the original textures or improve them?

Thanks in advance, have a nice day.

ok I will try to take a stab at this. I am not 100% sure but it looks like you might want to get a UV converter like...

See if that helps. Again I am not too sure

Skin Builder 8 modifies the texture maps themselves. Hence changes the image files themselves.
Anagenesis, Altern 8 modifies the skin settings, however doesn't change the texture maps.

The result above is because the base asset texture maps applied to the model being incompatible with the Anagenesis skin shader settings. Looks like the asset texture map may be missing a bump map.

I typically use Skinbuilder 8 and Altern 8. To start, I grab an unmodified skin asset and apply to a model, use Altern 8 and then render (to check whether it looks decent). I then use Skin Builder 8 to add additional details / features to the texture maps.
