I'd say it's individual. Some people do have money, some don't. Some do, but think that paying for something they can get for free is "stupid".
That is not counting people that in have the ability to pay but don't consider it a necessity. (For example - I haven't even looked at Eleonor3, despite it's being available for free, let alone pay for it.)

for me subscription was never about the games but a sign of my support and appreciation for their work and efforts. and while that way of looking at it works for patreon developers,somehow it doesn't work for LOP. i wish they would change their subscription options to be more similair to patreon,to attract more supporters but i doubt it would change anything since 99% of the people here just like to shit on them no matter what

I myself always respect and support a good dev company.
On the economy side of things. Massive porn sites with exceptional quality and producing tonnes of new videos daily ask for 5-10 ( USD/EUR/GBP) per YEAR.
On Lopgold.com you are asked for USD90 per YEAR and they are hardly doing anything. Like what several games per year maybe???
