If you mean you want to wait for a fully localized western release then you're out of luck, just like most other games from good ol' Nippon it'll never not in a million years get a proper English release. This here is the best you can get.

You can only have a total of 4 girls running around at once. If you mean to increase your starting number, which is 1, then you need to find and locate capsules that contain them. There is one in each area you progress into and you also need a Battery on hand to open them up. Once open, you can chose and custom them form the interface device located right next to the pod. To make things more easy to find them, they are pointed out on the map.

Now, if you mean to increase more from the total 4, I heard somewhere there is a mod for that in the works a while ago. I have a decent computer (8core,1080TI,32ramm,ssd) and with everything in the game max settings it puts me at about 45fps so I would not recommend this normally.

You mean like how Illusion's previous game, Koikatsu, didn't? It's out on Steam with a free patch on Illusion's website to restore any content Steam had a problem with. The only thing not out, and that may still come to pass, is the DLC content. Honey Select was also released through Fakku for English speaking players.

Your best bet is to find the ISO files from the Japanese release somewhere and then look for an HF patch. I'm sure one will be created eventually if it hasn't been already.

There won't be an HF patch most likely. In fact, there hasn't been one for the latest games, not since Inquisitor retired.
Others picked up the work and carried on creating All-in-one patches, but with HongFire itself gone and AS having no dedicated threads/subs, the discord channel is your best bet on finding stuff, unless you follow each mod repo on it's own (for those that actually have one).

Point being, this pre-patched repack is probably the legit link for the foreseeable future.
The alternative is to grab the original ISOs from nyaa, apply the official patches and then apply any mod you want by hand (which is frankly what this repack is, without the added hassle on your part).

Previously I used fitgirl repack for honeyselect
Pretty good repack though.
Hope some other less buggy repack will come out.

Does ScrewThisNoise do a honey select? or is fitgirl the best version ? I tried the koikatsu but it runs very poorly and is janky experience overall which is a shame as the character variety is amazing...just not much fun to use. Which of these or any others are your fav or you recommend for H-scenes over story and gameplay?

Unfortunately, no. I've tried restarting 5 or 6 times, without any change in this behavior. I am using only the R2 repack with added downloaded characters and houses and a few of the optional plugins you included: pushupai and most of the script loader scripts, (except for the farclipplane, ignore_ovelap, quick_save, and unrestricted_h_positions scripts).

ya i got same issue as you but i think mine is worst cause the text when i talk to the girl isnt trnaslated at times either.

How does Ai girl differ from honey select? I get that koikatsu us like an anime version at school with cellshading. But what is honey select?

I usually wait until subtitles are out, but I know it will take a while and I have a vacation scheduled a week from now, so....do girls talk through subtitles outside of H scenes in this game? Do they talk to each other? Or do they come up to you with a text box for most interactions a la AA? And is the current translation good enough to let each personality type come accross well?

Also, are futa girls a thing, and can they fuck a female MC? Or do I have to go with a futa MC instead?
(if it's the latter, I desperately hope a mod comes along to enable futa NPCs, or that Illusion does something about it in a expansion, especially since I already read earlier in the thread that lesbian sex actions are meh compared to straight ones. There's no reason not to have futa NPCs fuck a female MC, no homo there.)
