I did fix that but I messed it up when I was polishing the game code. Will wipe of the section until it's needed.

Solid feedback, I appreciate it.

1 - Loading time? In which location? If it's the bathroom scene it will be reworked again anyways
2 - It's tough since if I do a normal if..else switch it still leaves spaces that looks bad like in the Bedroom. I'm polishing this one as well while playing the game side-by-side.
3 - True, I have a macro for this which I'm currently testing in for MC's corruption quest(it's implemented in this patch). If that works like a charm then I will proceed to use that for the NTR scene.

I released the game when it had nothing and solely based on CHYOA. It was tough integrating plus giving hints whenever possible. This is useful for those who want a fast-track on what to do next. The reason why I left certain choices on the bottom of the passage is to involve story immersion. My initial plan was to put it completely on the right side. Now it's just used for navigation purposes and is proved to be helpful in that aspect. I'm sorry that you didn't like the 4th wall break but it will be less as we progress on. The Gym money issue should work provided you met your mother during breakfast. I'm polishing that particular quest because it's the buggiest and most requested as well. I guess either players want to progress with Kendra or with Brandi. I'll look into the money situation as of now.

2 - Then perhaps have the right sidebar show who is in the room even if there's no interactions available? Honestly, the only reason it's a big deal is because I had no idea what to do and literally went to every place I could and spent an entire day +30 minutes with the phone to see if anything would trigger.

3 - Okay

4 - Fourth wall break. I don't mind it as a little fun gimmick in the beginning but it felt like it lasted too long. It's a near-constant thing between the MC and the inner voice and breaks the immersion when it continues after the initial intro.

5 - Gym money. I can get the first lot (to buy a membership) but I have no option to ask her for more money for more sessions. And there's nothing in the calender system that tells me if I'm only supposed to go at a specific time.

6 - Something else that I just remembered. The living room has text saying the MC can't massage the mother so why not talk to her to waste time only there's no option to do that.

I want to say that as someone who is attempting to write his own HTML game and failing miserably, I'm hoping this works for you. I enjoy the premise and want to play it when it has far more content but there's a lot of polish and foundation work to be done.

Ikr, Great progress with this - there needs to be some form of indicator that lets you know there are additional scenes if you wait though. Usually people tend to fly through scenes with fast clicking and could possibly miss out if they wait a bit longer... If you plan to do more in the future.

Ok .. so there is nothing. 108 files, and most of the data volume is generated by 10-15 videos.

Its the worst kind of games - its free roam (without a reason for it) and there is no payoff for the grind and clicking.

1 - Sure, it's broken down to avoid delay. As for the gym money, I'll check it out program wise. (There's a lot of script running causing it to delay maybe)
2 - Hmm, that's a good suggestion. I'll see if I can do that during this patch.
4 - Really? I toned it down after the intro. I'll check it out.
5 - Yeah. I really need to place content blockers. The Gym is on its way for the next patch along with proper content for corruption meaning it's there in the passage for twine but I disabled it for test reasons.
6 - I just made this scene yesterday as soon as the patch was released.

Thanks for the advice. Usually, the feedback works for foundation building. That's why I have the discord channel for but people don't test it out and provide feedback which hinders the progress. That's why I had to post an unfinished setup here. I expected the backlash, but I can't lie that some it really hurts.

I think I made an alert notif if there were additional scene (The infamous bathroom scandal XD). I noticed that people were glossing through when they forgot I referenced the book in the introduction. After the next patch, I'll set up checkpoints for those who wish to continue after the 1st Arc (The book coverage)

Yeah, I replied why I posted this in the first place in the Changelog.... videos do take large amounts of space that I will not deny. I even posted why there's no new additional content. I apologize for that.

What do you do after hearing older sister on the phone? Does anything new happen?
What about bully and his family? What about twin sister being manipulated?
I just get frustrated when you don't know what content is achievable and what is a dead end at the moment. You could have a walk-through or something but after spending 10 minutes and more than 1 week of gameplay doing the same thing over and over I'm fed up.

I'm so glad that I got feedback from this. There were genuine bugs that I will be clearing it out soon.

Like I said before, the size was an issue for me. Webm actually had a larger size compared to mp4(4GB vs 200 MB) (Gifs were heavy as well), fair trade if you ask me. The reason why it is 1 GB is that I added in content that is not in the build (Gym) and that was for planned content for 0.3. I'll trim down the sizes as I knew that was a flaw but needed to test it out nonetheless (the mp4 files). So the time-wasting mechanic is implemented in twine but not added to the HTML yet. The reason why I had the forced wait time was to test out the fade-in elements and other macros that I implemented in that passage. (Forgot to edit that, my bad). In terms of content, it's just 600 MB (some of the gifs are pretty heavy). The remaining 400 got padded through because of the next planned content. The reason why I pushed it out was the new gameplay features which I had to get it out before it affected in the long run. I'm solidifying the foundation before we push further and that is at times frustrating though I have content for the game in hand.
It's like I said though. You don't need 100+MB files for one passage (Kendra Lust bath scenes). Your main issue with the size of these files is that they're ~2min+ in length. You can use free software out there to trim these down to the points in the scene you're trying to focus on. I would suggest keeping it to 15 seconds or less.

Also convert the video to the size you want it to be on the passage, you can convert the 720p video into a custom 800px wide video and trim the size by another 30-40%.

I mean, it's whatever you want to do though, but these are my suggestions. The game with the current content that it has shouldn't even be approaching 300MB honestly.

For instance, re-encoding this file (120MB) to webm VP8 and resizing to 800px width dropped this to 14MB . Something is definitely wrong with the way you're encoding your files. I would get that fixed before anything else otherwise you're gonna have a nightmare on your hands everytime you need to upload and complaints from people about the size.

edit: Even without the resize, re-encoding to VP8 with max quality dropped the size to 54MB. Knock it down to 20 seconds and you'll be hitting less than 10MB.

I have a feeling that people nowadays are too used to having incredible amounts of hdd space and that hits especially hard in gaming development, amateur as well as professional wise. Looking at bloated AAA games that suddenly fit snuggly in <10 gig hdd space when vid files are compressed, had that happen because of a strange bug in one of the assasins creed games effectively cutting the used space in half while still being perfectly playable. On the one hand, yes good sound and videos can be immersing but as amd_dman showed less is often more. And imagine the amount of content you can get in for the same space if only encoded and compressed properly.

On the one hand, yes good sound and videos can be immersing but as amd_dman showed less is often more. And imagine the amount of content you can get in for the same space if only encoded and compressed properly.
Well he's a relatively new developer as well from what I've seen, so he probably doesn't realize the massive amount of media he's going to have in the end to fully load out a game with primarily videos as the main source of visual content. It's better to get that pipeline fixed and worked on before it literally turns into a giant mess of 20GB of videos for just 5 or 6 characters.

Also NEVER include the sound in a twine game. It's literally the same thing as having random sex sounds being blasted when you load some random web page. Trust me, people won't care that there isn't sound in the clips lol, if anything they'll probably thank you that you didn't include it.

Also, believe it or not, the grand majority of that space is uncompressed audio. Titanfall 2 had around 40GB of just sound files because either the Xbox or PS4 didn't support many compressed audio formats in the beginning.

I'm having the same issues with getting the money at breakfast. It seems to me that the game will be good, however there seems to be no direction, so I also agree that a walk through is needed.

Had to learn that lesson the hard way doing projects for uni (matlab, python) and working with a few guys on an rpgmaker project. And yeah, heard the figures for sound files, uncompressed audio, is really pushing the limit. I vaguely remember reading that it accounted for ~ 40% of Gta5's space hunger. Could not find the examples I was looking for though so take the number with a grain of salt.

I think the problem started when one did not have to take into account the problems of data media distribution thanks to internet access and downloads. Not as bad as the old 56k modem days but it still hurts sometimes when I look at my (in comparison) bad connection and have to download 10 gigs using a sharesite I have no premium for.
