DA FUCK?
what does this dev think? Just start a game, and after 2 month he stops because he doesn't get that popular?
Sad, but seems another dev just has the dream that he starts a project and instantly will be famous with enough patreons for living.
Time to blacklist that dev for me!

I just don't get how to mess up by abandonning such a promising game at all.....

also i hope Altered Vision will read this and reflects again - because this is not really a way to earn the trust of people to start supporting. (Just ask Slonique what happens if you senseless abandon games)
Hi.
I always read all the comments, both positive and negative, and it was not only 2 months, but I was working more on this project.
And I don't expect to have enough patreons to live on them, I have someone who translates the game and even if he agrees not to "earn" money, I don't like that he works correcting my mistakes and I can't give him something.
On the other hand, since the beginning of this project I had problems with Patreon, so I did not put the links there, so it was a matter of time that they canceled the game, so I prefer to spend my energy on something new, something that did not block me, sorry if you don't like it but it's like this ...
Thank you for giving me your opinion and for having played the game.

This blows, there was nothing wrong with this game. Hyperserver is correct, this isnt how you go about increasing patrons trust in you as a developer.

I mean 2 months is no where near long enough to judge the communities interest in a game especially when you consider many similar games stay in production for over a year.

There not being much interest at this stage could be down to not advertising enough
Hi.
in fact, if there are problems with this game, I had problems from the beginning with patreon, so I did not put my links there, it was a matter of time that the page was bloqued.

The big problem was version 0.1 where I tried to make the patch in the same game, so they will have read the code and automatically sent me a message in which it inflicted its rules, since I couldn't even remove it, I had to remove it from patreon to the game.
but the question is, how much longer would it last like this?

Thanks for playing it, and I hope you give the new project a chance.

As I understand such things making the incest patch not available via patreon is not against the rules.

Did you include incest content without a patch in the 0.1? I'm not overly familiar with the developer rules of patreon myself, could you explain why you weren't able to remove it?

At this stage couldn't you just re-write the game to not include any incest and ask patreon to review it and see if it still goes against the rules? Would make more sense than completely abandoning the work you have done thus far.

It is not so simple, whoever has seen the code of that version, realizes that it is a disaster, in addition to how it handles the translation of the game, it is also horrible.
To give you an idea, every time I realized an error, I had to rewrite almost everything, because the translation failed, whoever played in English, saw it in Spanish, or vice versa.
so I created a variable that controls that, but it only works from version 0.2 (one of the reasons why the saved ones were not supported).
On the other hand, if I tell patreon to check it, I should delete Nash and Claire, since they classify it as lolis and it is prohibited.
So, it's a lot of chaos for a project, that's why I decided to create a new one, it's a shame because I liked the characters that were in that game, now I'm going to have to create new ones ...

Altered Vision appreciate your answer and thanks for clarification.
nevertheless the story and basic setup was really good (VN mode).
Maybe just start over with better coding, and leave the freeroam part out (mostly freeroam is just grinding though).
The story, and how you did it, was really good.

Also think about leaving partreon, and head over to subscribestar, who actually dont put the rules that close. Many devs already changed, because patreon sucks as hell (imho)

I generally avoid showing negativity towards new games but as you are going to restart anyways I will say using renders like this meant bringing in enough patrons for a living wage was incredibly unlikely. At the very least, it is going to take MANY months if not years to create a living wage off these kind of renders. The best example I think is probably Dark Magic, it uses the same software (I think?) has been going for years at this point and he has yet to crack the 2k a month mark. On the other hand, if you're just looking to practice your abilities and gradually build up a bit of a following till it becomes a full time job then that works. I just don't think it's reasonable to expect to live off the wage till at least you're a year in. While one or two of the models were nice, several of them needed work. The second I saw the sleezy looking mc and his friend I skipped all dialogue around them, Max's Life created an unpleasant aura around those models. That's just my opinion though, take it all with a grain of salt.

The next game will be full vn, and I will make a sandbox version after a few versions, so that it is not boring, it surely adds some extra events, but not of great importance, simply so that it differs a little from the vn mode.

And as for what was patreon, I will take a look at the other page, and read its conditions.

Thanks for the recommendation.

How old did you make Nash again? The dev of My New Family is using the same character model as Nash in his game and patreon doesnt seem to think she is a loli
I suppose my mistake was to show it on the cover of one of the patreon images, also they revised the code, because they spelled out in detail what was wrong.

I do not expect to live from this, and the truth that this game taught me a lot, for which I am not going to make these mistakes again, one of the things that I really want is to be able to gather enough to change pc, to be able to bring better quality content, (gathering my savings, and a percentage of what I earn on patreon, since the other part is directed to the one who corrects my mistakes in the English (I mean almost everything I write)).
Once I get to change my PC, I will spend more hours there so that people can enjoy the games even more ...

And don't worry, your comment doesn't seem negative to me.

In all honestly, long as you don't keep doing this. Your next game has the same kinda intrigue (not saying same story by any means) and you stick with it fully. I'll give the next game you do a chance, but too many nowadays do abandon the games, make a new one, abandon. Doesn't give much hope to stick with it. I don't wanna start a game that'll be really likely to be abandoned again. There's a few developers here that as soon as I see they are the developer, I just say screw it and avoid it as I expect it just to be yet another cash grab or end in a month or two time max. I've literally had like seven games on my watch list be marked abandoned this week alone. lol

But I'll still be fair and keep an eye out on your next one. Though just keep in mind that if you abandon the next one too, at any point in time. A lot will start assocating you with abandoning projects. The fact you gave full reasons though and such though is a good step in the right direction though.

Yes, I had a lot of problems with altered city, luckily when I work on this new project, and I see how it works, I feel much more relieved.

And what I'm doing is uploading the characters that I already created for this game and publishing it on Patreon, because if something is wrong with that character, they will let me know. That way I avoid future problems.

Wow that's a quick abandonment. Guess I don't need to worry about this devolving into a sharing themed game based on the dialogue anymore. Frees up harddrive space I guess.

That's a bummer, it started to get interesting.

Anyway, please do the next project in 1080p. It's 2020.

Haha, I know, but my notebook does not reach that resolution, and if I do a rescaling I have many problems with the fps, and for the animations they would not even reach 30 fps.

Until I can make a change to my pc, I will not be able to increase the quality of the game.
Sorry.

Yes 1080p is like the minimum today, but tbh some ppl, like myself, aren't bothered by the quality of the animation / renders. They look okay and for me that's enough. As long as the story, corruption, gameplay (and so on) is good enough there won't be any issues. Keep on going and gl with the next game.
