BTW, am I the only one to see some similarities with MC's daughters and the Powerpuff Girls, regarding their behavior/personality/archetype?

Nope. It is something that's been pointed out quite a lot and it's somewhat of a meme at this point.
OK, I didn't find anything in the thread about this, so my question... Pure curiosity: it's a simple coincidence, a tribute, an involuntary plagiarism?

Lmao believe it or not it is purely coincidence. To our amusement, someone pointed it out the moment we shared the first early images of the triplets. We more or less were just aiming for variety when we made them.
Oh, I believe it, that's not a problem. I was just nosy! :giggle:

Are you sure it wasn't a little subconscious too? Because it's not just the looks but the personalities as well.
  • Maddison/Buttercup - The tough one with a hard outer shell.
  • Allison/Bubbles - The cheery, boisterous one who's also a bit naive.
  • Olivia/Blossom - The stable, level-headed one who keeps the other two in check.
Also, this asset could work for PPG dresses for a special render - .

To be fair, there are only a couple major dynamics within trios, and "two airheads - different types - and the sensible one holding the gang together" is right up there. And that's for a reason, because it works. To quote TVTropes: Tropes are not bad.

Probably a little subconscious, but also my justification for making them this way was pretty simple:<snip>
Hey, dude, subconscious or not, who cares? We near all share the same common pop culture: seeing such coincidences or tributes in games is FUNNY, and remember us childhood... I don't think that anyone will complain and/or feel a "fractured ego" - but some 40 yo frustrated virgin nerds like the one below... If you see what I mean... :devilish:

For the other parts, even if I'm not a huge fan of PPG (probably too old...), I still have a LOT of cartoons in my nostalgia box. I was impressed to see a picture of "Mazinger Z" in a game, for example, or references to "Captain Harlock" (Albator, french bros), and most recently, "The Simpsons", "Futurama", and so on. It's always a pleasure to detect such things in something else, intentionaly or not.

To stay in the same kind of games, it's the same when we see "D" from "DMD" in another game, or the same old park that near all RenPy games use, or the 4th wall breaks, etc.

Thanks for the kind words and support. Don't let others drag you down with their galaxy brained conclusion that devs would create alt accounts to write nice comments about their own games. :KEK:

Wow! No idea how I missed this. Absolutely love the sigs and will be using some of them. Thank you.
You're very welcome. Left a review as well, and this game definitely earned the five stars I gave with it. Wish there was more to it, but alas it is still very early in its development, and I am eagerly awaiting the next release.

As for what those others were saying, I gave their comments all the due consideration they deserved, and moved on. There's no point in starting, or continuing, an argument over such things here after all.

Keep up the good work, this game has a lot of potential and is off to a great start. I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing how things develop from here.

Hopefully these guys drop some big updates. Quality game for sure but holy shit.
Each update will be at least an hour long, so they will be "big".

As of the last progress update from June, they're just over 70% done with chapter 2, which is impressive when you consider that they each have another game they're working on and Alorth helps other devs with their games.

I reckon we could see the update next month which would make it 4 months since the first chapter and that's well within the typical timescale for games like this.

If this one has over a month of internal testing like the recent Polarity update did, there's no way in hell it's releasing next month, especially with more than half of the graphics to be completed. But hell, I'd love to be proven wrong.

Considering the length of time between updates, the quality of the game, and the promise of an hour of content in each update I think this game will be one I play from the beginning every time. I have no idea how many updates are planned but if this goes 10 updates I will be very happily surprised. That would be 10 hours of quality gaming. There are AAA games from huge developers that don't have that much content.

I look forward to all of the...

Hopefully we shall see some more of it before the end of the month.
