Problem with WVM is that any seed of conflict he puts in an update is totally and perfectly resolved in the following, making MC a fucking gift from god. I like dit in the beginning, where many subplots where opened. But he kept closing all of them and if you ask me now that the novel is about I would not be able to answer anything different than sex and hugs.
Sex hugs and rock'n'roll xD

Surprised you actually have kids with that response, but maybe that would be the way it would fly in your family - every one is different. I'm sure it wouldn't play out that way in mine and even disregarding that it actually does play out differently in this story, from what we see of Abby and Frank's relationship both before and after this branch I'm not surprised in the least that she reacts this way. Sure she loves Frank. Completely and totally - even more than she can admit to herself. Which is part of the reason it would end this way. Between her own feelings which she has not even begun to accept (only Becca has at this point) and the conditioning she's been getting from Lilith, it seems natural to me she would instantly feel defensive and/or betrayed. She would also feel - and Frank would agree - that he is/was/should have been the one who should have stopped the situation from getting to that point. Again, the Game Over doesn't say that she and her sisters completely and totally sever all interaction with Frank (at least, I don't remember it saying that) but in the game scenario it doesn't take a total excommunication to effectively end. Just that there is no longer a chance of Frank bringing the girls into his harem. The girls will talk. Lilly will never trust Frank at all ever again and the other two... well Becca might be ok but Abby would take a long time to rebuild that trust. By which time she'll have moved on in her romantic interests and the window will have closed. I think that is not an unreasonable reaction.

It's a really weird read.

The "dad" makes a big deal out of things that aren't a big deal which makes things that happen all the time seem awkward to him.
Even if you are deeply attracted to your daughter, though he didn't really know?

The whole thing with Abi and Rebecca in the bar, that's how we are when we're out with other girls. I'm the tiny tits of the group, i'm always talking about the other girls tits, usually leads on to talk about how shit some bra's are yet he makes it out to be really weird.
With your Dad? Can't really relate, my man breast size wouldn't be that problematic with my dad.

Though now that I think about it, I might not be at ease with it, but if I had a daughter I'd hope to be able to have that kind of discussion without a hitch... We'll see.

What my problem with it is that she immediately takes it as sexual and distrusts him for that, as with my daughter, his relation with her is built over many many years and his behaviour over all those years and my daughter knows she has to have no fears from me in that respect. Frank based upon his background has been a loving and supportive stepfather and his behaviour has been not that of a sexual predator. So to immediately assume what she does, yeah that does not sit well with me.

But I doubt your daughter was ever sexually attracted to you like Abby is to Frank. At least not to your knowledge (not trying to start anything with that statement, please don't take personal offense.) I think her attraction to him, and her not having resolved the conflict that creates (with him being her daddy) is central to her reaction. Of course she would jump to sexual, because subconsciously that's where she WANTED it to go. But she can't admit that, even to herself, so she lashes out.

Sorry but I don't like the "I am sexually attracted so I can take anything you do sexual". I can separate my feelings from others' intentions. The fact that she is sexually attracted does increases the chance she can see actions sexually, but cannot conclude it IS sexually. That is the point here. She jumps and leaves no other interpretation possible, when MC has clearly not shown himself as a sexual predator but as a loving father. Her attraction cannot justify that.
The very fact that she gives him no benefit of doubt is the problem here.

Damn didn't actually consider that and it does work with the story, though even so, wouldn't it still just lead to conflict? They might be estranged for a while (maybe forever) but could then understand her attraction to him, being the reason for her reaction...
If she did come to that conclusion, even if it would've been too quickly, she wouldn't just move out.

Still it shows lack of trust in him that should be there based upon their long standing relation and his behaviour during that time. Not even talking about fact if he really had done something wrong she would have known or be able to feel the signs the next morning. No worries about my daughter, I am not her type. Wrong gender. :p

It could come from prior sexual abuse... Not the case here clearly.

Not saying she is totally justified, just that I can see it being a not-unreasonable response to the situation. And again, the game doesn't say she never regrets or second-guesses herself or Frank's intent, but that isn't going to change the game scenario-ending.

Sorry, for me it is totally out of character. Had the situation been with Lilith I would understand totally. But Abigail, that idolizes her father and sees him as the most loving creature in the world to suddenly jump to the conclusion that he molested her at the slightest hint? The way I read that part was "this is inconsistent character writing". That is why I think that Game Over is totally stupid. Not only it brings nothing, but it creates the feeling that characters are acting out of character (that was a weird sentence..)

I guess we just don't have filters.

None of our dads are creeps or they hide it well but we've had some drunk conversations infront of most of them usually involving boobs.

They have never been weird about it although some of them do make the occasional joke which I guess is their attempt at telling us to shut the fuck up and maybe change the subject.

Only time a conversation has ever got strange infront of one of our dads was during my best friends 21st when the conversation turned to sex toys and we had to explain what a dragon dildo was, he looked at us like we'd all sprouted an extra head and webbed toes.

Most of our dads are pretty cool, they don't mind putting up with our nonsense.

I suppose it depends how comfortable people are with each other. Our group has been friends for years now, since we were tots, so we all know each other and our families really well.

Alright, that's fine. I'm played out debating this. I think there are some who feel my way, some that feel your way, and I might have even convinced one or two to come to the dark side, so I'm going to take my leave on the subject. Good debate though, you all bring up good points.

Of course. I never felt it was about convincing the other, more about explaining our views.

Have a good day, sir!

I think she's also been brainwashed to a certain extent by Lilly into thinking that all men are douchebags. She doesn't really think so about her father, but that seed of doubt is planted there in her mind and is sitting there waiting for him to mess up and confirm Lilly's dire predictions. The game over scenario is from both sides, IMHO. She jumps to the wrong conclusion, and he doesn't like it that she would even think that about him.

It felt good but I wouldn't consider it screwing her. It was still in her favor with the value of the family home, however the alimony and shared money split was just divorce law, at least it was similar enough to my own experience.
Screwing is a subjective term - she got MUCH less than she was expecting, so that qualifies, IMHO.

Seriously?

Waiting for the moment when Lilith will finally like us and trust us and end this annoying behavior, because I'm sick of her.
I am also slightly pissed by MC's behavior, he is stubborn, Abby still urges him to sleep in bed and the stupid refuses.

I've been playing this game for some time and I even like it, the only thing I don't like are lesbian scenes, not my fetish.
Yeah - if you go down the bad path she (Abby) does just that - and kicks frank to the curb.
