I'll also add, and I quote Louise here:

Louise isn't as meek as people think she is. She knows what she is doing, problem is with our 'god eye' overview of the story, we know that shes in some real trouble.

It's like you are writing her character on purpose to be controversial and then you're surprised that people find her controversial so you're explaining why she isn't actually that bad. If you want people to like her then write her as more likeable character not with all this dodgy stuff she does. Right now she is this "grey" area kind of character, some really like her and some really hate her there's nothing wrong with that but it's almost like you don't want her to be that.

All of this ridiculous contract nonsense with Louise could've been avoided had she gone over it with MC her husband or at least contacted a lawyer like most sensible people would do. I get it's part of the story, sure, but it doesn't make it any less irritating. If she was a teenager or fresh out of college, then I'd expect this, but she's pushing what? 40? Like C'mon. Now this Sebastian cloud is going to loom over the MC longer than it needs to.

Can't forget about the fact that he's now making unwanted contact and Louise is keeping it from MC, which also is a horrible decision. Women have this annoying thing where they think it's okay to keep things like this from us to protect us, problem with that logic is what happens when the unwanted flirting turns into unwanted touching and grabbing other things? Then what? Now you the husband or boyfriend is ready to kick someone's ass all while wondering how the hell did this get this far out of hand. Or why did this jerkoff think it was okay or was comfortable enough to do this in the first place.

I did like the part where Louise took some accountability for not being there for MC, as she should've. All Mc has done was support that woman and look what he gets, you almost feel compelled to break up with her or cheat on her, at least I did.

I get where you are coming from, but context is everything. If I think my bf would make a situation worse by flying off the handle and ruining things versus me being able to for example quietly gather evidence and squeeze him over time and then get what I want (talking to his own bosses or other entity like a Board for a nice severance package and him being fired to quietly leave the company and stay silent because no woman would stay working at that point) I'd definitely not say anything until I got what I wanted. Someone I know actually got quite a bit of money from a company for almost this exact scenario, and 95% of women panic or don't play it smart, but the smart ones would take advantage of it and return bad treatment with ten times worse treatment against them. Maybe you're also doing other women a favor by destroying such a man so it doesn't happen to anyone else. I would agree that if I am actually seeing things as a date (not something else) that is a bridge too far. No man should have to deal with a woman doing that...

There is no excuse for this Tess, sexual abuse is something very serious and should never be tolerated and thinking that way is only aggravating the problems and the abuse.
The thing is and I'm pretty sure you will agree with me in this is that "You will never let anyone touch you in a sexual manner or something considered sexual abuse" no matter how rationally you think and even less go alone with him after he does that....

This is fair, but I would only say it's very easy to just say one can do x or y when sometimes it's not as easy as that at the precise moment. A lot depends on the situation and context, life is never so easy as a black and white surefire answer that you can just do all the time in all situations. An obvious example is a mother say having to deal with something in the short term because it is the best option to protect say her child in both the short and long term. Many choices in life have subtle nuance and multi-tiered implications/layers beyond just one's own treatment/situation at that moment. Now it's fair to debate with Louise what she could have done, but I just wouldn't buy an argument that no matter what, all women in a certain situation can just automatically do x or y without considering all of the implications beyond that moment in time. Smart women can compartmentalize various layers of a problem and react accordingly.

I do know that women can keep things very quiet...both in good and bad ways and I do feel sorry for men sometimes in certain respects. I just saw last week one of my best friends trying to talk about a huge problem with her man, and he started lecturing her in a certain way instead of validating her feelings, and she just gave me a look for literally two seconds. I immediately knew with that look that their relationship was over, but I also know he won't find out for another month or two just knowing my friend. And that's rough.

I kind of hope Louise takes more control and ownership over her situation, but that's up to the dev of course!
