Zen, consider any works of fiction either literal or otherwise can easily replicate or journey toward some trauma we've all been through previously whether it be what you speak or theft, auto accident, residential fire, physical abuse, etc. etc. There's no way to expect tags or anything else to "save" any of us from our past experiences regardless of the platform (movie, book, music, etc). I wish you had never seen the ugliness of human nature in your life, truly, I am not in anyway discounting that....only that exploring and experiencing fictional art forms which are generally created to express and create reaction both good and/or bad emotionaly as you well know. Again, I am deeply saddened that you (or anyone else for that matter) experience such a violation.
