Yup. There is a text file called Walk-through in the same directory as the executable file.
something that maybe should be mentioned is that the walkthrough does not go through all the choices in detail, but only to those that actually bring this or that scene or specific story evolution. (I don't know if this means that the others are just for flavour, are obvious, or will lead to consequences not yet implemented in the first 10 chapters)

While saying that it could use some editing might sound overly critical- e.g. the shop talk between doctors, or the biggest mystery so far, which is Alex appartment - how does he afford it? What is that glas door? - I certainly didn't expect a story where I intentionally decide against the NSFW parts because I want to know what's going on. Going to follow this one, even though I'm really not into the whole bondage thing and I thought that Twilight killed vampires forever;) So I hope that whatever drives you forward will survive the coming month.

Just one more thing, are we back to the 90s where body hair was outlawed in gay culture? Nothing against grooming, but everyone I saw so far got a full on body wax, and looking at some of the hunks that's a waste. Variety makes everything look better.

Hey there. Sorry I missed this earlier.

There is some internal monologue about how Alex was able to afford the place but it is fair to ask, even with that explanation, how he could afford it. Keep asking; maybe there will eventually be more of an explanation. :censored:

As for body hair, I've talked about this a few places but in short... I agree with you. Having body hair on some of the guys was my plan at the beginning and it's still not something I've taken off the table. However, a lot of the body hair assets IMO don't look very good, and of those that do look decent they are absolute resource hogs. The scene in Chapter 10 with the five characters was beastly to stage and render because it kept blowing past the limits on my 3080. Without rehashing all the technical stuff again, once it exceeds the limits of the GPU's VRAM, it dumps the whole thing to the CPU and is basically a trash render. So, there is a hard limit I'm up against and one of the biggest memory hogs is hair. So... that's the problem there. That said, if there is a character I decide who will never be in more than a twosome, I may give him some body hair in future explicit scenes.

If you're not already a Patron, you may want to wait until October 1 as Patreon will charge you when you join and then again on the 1st of the month. (Or you could join now and cancel right away. :cry: )

This update will go out to the public in approximately 30 days. Have a lovely weekend.

I was working on updating Santino's model to a newer generation and, in the process, was making some tweaks around the edges. One of the things I decided to test was a body hair asset that works with this newer generation model -- and I'm pretty happy with the results. It also seems very popular with Patrons. I may make some more adjustments around the margins, but thought I'd share it here.

Quick question... I noticed that there is a threshold in the Patreon tiers, in that people from Hunter and above get the game 1 month earlier and thralls get the public build. Wouldn't it be more appealing for the lower tier if Thralls could see the early game, say, 2 weeks before the public or something like that? It would still be inferior to the Hunter+ but a bit better than just the public. Of course the business model is yours but it could convince some people to jump aboard.

I've generally thought of the Thrall level as more of a generic support tier, akin tossing something in the tip jar. But I've also been thinking about adjusting the benefits and tiers a little bit and I'll chew on this. Thanks for the suggestion.

The new model is better. He feels more like a man with muscles than a bodybuilder, particularly the head, the neck and the upper torso and arms. He seems younger too. And it could also settle your problems with the clothes.
As for hair, it really looks realistic for someone who shave himself regularly, though you've forgotten his beard.
And finally, it's good you still continue to improve your game since usually the dev is more focused on adding more content.
Really curious where you're taking us.

Hey thanks for the feedback. Honestly I didn't forget the beard; I just go back and forth on whether he would have it. To me its more of of a five o'clock shadow. Granted, my friends of Mediterranean descent usually have such a "shadow" by 11am, but I'm just not sure if it's what I want for a doctor.

And the clothes/suit issue is much improved--or at least will be in the future. I found a way in the settings to not have the mesh of the clothing conform to the musculature, resulting in a better looking suit. Still not perfect but much better. Going back to redo all his previous scenes may not be in the cards but we'll see.

I agree that it looks more natural than the previous version in body shape

No idea of the ETA, but it will have different routes (I think 4 endings are expected? and maybe with variations within each ending, considering that the hookable characters are more than 4)

Hey there. As for an ETA, I'll have to say no but at least a year. I've been working on it since this February and am only now coming towards the end of Act 1.

Choices will definitely matter. They are already having an influence on romantic partners and ultimately will lead towards unlocking (or closing off) different endings (four currently planned, not counting romantic choices).

Currently, all major decisions are being tracking as well as relationship scores with the main characters and as of the last couple updates the MC's Dom/sub score. The relationship scores have unlocked two explicit scenes, and the Dom/sub score effected dialogue in Chapter 10.

Ultimately, my plan is for those scores will influence not only who you romance but who you can recruit to help you at the end of the story and the odds of succeeding in your chosen path.

would it be possible to have the relationship scores as well as the dom-sub score transparent somewhere? it could be nice to see if one wants...

Yeah the new Santino looks definetly better in my opinion and the body hair is a nice addition.
I'm curious, are you planning to use the body hair asset on other characters as well and if yes, will you give players a toggle for each (or all or different groups or etc) character similar to Coming Out on Top?
I understand if those are more long term issues and no answer even exists yet haha.

I'll probably add this once the game is finished. At present, the math is a little bit arbitrary so I think providing the scores to folks right now would give people a false sense of confidence. Instead, I try to offer the relevant guides for decision making in the Walkthrough.

Great questions. On Paolo (an upcoming patron-sponsored character) we went back and forth a lot on some body hair and ultimate settled on just pubes and a happy trail. Ultimately, the only models for whom this body hair asset is compatible are: Nick, Seth, then Mathieu and Riley (characters yet to be introduced). Unfortunately, the body hair asset I'm using isn't compatible with Alex, Ronan, Kai or Mayhew.

So, I might use it for Nick, but for Seth/Mathieu/Riley it will be up to their sponsors.

As for making it toggle-able... that's not currently planned. This isn't too hard in hand-drawn VNs because they generally use sprites and, once a sprite is made, it can be used in countless images. But for BBN, every image is rendered from scratch, so for every shirtless scene, I'd have to run it twice... and that's if only one model in the scene can be toggled. If two models can be toggled, that's four versions of the scene, and then if you're talking a three-way or group... I can't do the math. It would just be too many combinations and iterations of a scene for me to have to render. So, unfortunately, I just don't see a toggle-situation happening.
