The biggest flaw of Vis is that it deviates way too much and loses focus on the characters that matter and instead shows us full on penetration sex scenes with people we didn't know and we don't give a fuck about; I used image extraction just to make sure I didn't miss any content and sadly that was all it had..For example; Lilith aka one of the most sexual creatures in every lore of every world and story is acting like a virgin here, all that tease and all that bathing scene exhibitionism just to fucking end it with a gift that I'm sure 99% of players don't care about; a new character that has no background not even a name and it's the one you get to fuck instead of the gorgeous sexy Lilith....Welp.
A second example; last time we finally got closer to the milf mother and had a foreplay sex scene with her, well guess what? she has to leave you for another land that is far away and risk capture....And let's not forget that this means her character will disappear for a while, nicely played...Okay next, we have Morrigan instead of getting more of her we have a third wheel that intrudes and takes away renders for her scene;, instead of getting more poses with Morrigan we'll have to contend with a sloppy Bj that barely scratches the itch you have for her...Why? Because Loli elf happened..
Alright next is the mother return scene; after she is back you don't get any scene with her not even a fucking kiss....And if you choose wrong somehow you turn into a vile piece of shit who enslaves his own mother and whores her out (wasn't mentioned in the choices; the option said you'll teach her a lesson not throw her in a dungeon or make her your slut or everyone's cumdumpster).
That right there is why this game doesn't get the credit it deserves:
Gorgeous models, amazing world setting, great renders outside of sex...Don't know why that is, and Very good battle scenes but the focus is lost on useless uninteresting nobodies and prequels or sequels that no one asked for...Usually this type of games get 1 like per 1k views but it isn't the case here for these very reasons.
P.s: Sorry for the lenghty comment but I had to purge all this frustration I have with this game, I like it a lot but I feel like the dev loves to toy with the players this way; it's understandable that the story and it's events belong to the writer/dev and players have little right to interefere with it, but to create such a nice collection of hot milves and babes just to sideline them and offer most of the real content to nobodies is an insult to the player's interest in my opinion.

One game I really enjoy but I feel needs a better hint system is....bright past? I think that's the name. In fact, I actively look for the Sandbox tag. I do not (my own words) class a visual novel as a game, in fact the title novel kind of gives that away.
I do not usually post in here, just a reader of the forums, to gauge a good from a bad game.
If you do not like Sandbox games, move along, and stop complaining to the person who is actually putting in the time and effort to try to please people, there are many many VN's out there for you to enjoy clicking through a few words at a time.

I sometimes get a bit frustrated when you have to be in 1 place at a very specific time, without knowing that place and time, especially when the npc your after, moves around the world quicker than Hussein Bolt. But that's what forums are for
I still prefer that type of game still, to just sitting there for a few hours clicking next, next, next i.e. the visual novel. I find them boring, but I don't complain in every VN titles thread saying boringgggg, I just move on and continue the search for next decent sandbox game, supporting them if they are good and updated on a regular basic.
(I thought Bright Past had a hint system already built into the game, or a basic one of what you need to do next.) Edited, just noticed you said it had this.

This- Every great sandbox game involves an in depth quest log-
There's a game in here called Timestamps that's sandbox- it has a great questlog that points you in the direction where you need to go to progress
I'm not saying make Timestamps-Vis edition- just pointing out how quest logs make or break a sandbox.
And at least he didn't go and suddenly make this a Rpgm game lolol
though he's lucky I enjoy this story the 1.5 VN makes you redo the entire game- all my previous saves have errors

Actually the game is good i like it, Team Morrigan and Lillith here. But i wanted to know something about sandbox, yeah before i cheated on the value and now i have error when i go for laws and building army aswell, and i end up at the tavern when i ignore it what to do ? If some thingies have been implemented in the actual update that is, if not at the moment it's not really a problem at least for me.
I wanted to know if Lillith will have a true path too, it seems like we have a bot of flirt but i want more please don't let her go to waste kind sir.

Pretty much, world building is fine, nothing too special for the story but not bad at all. Enough to keep you interested but then the sex scenes, which are so few and far in between are extremely lacking.

This gets discussed every couple updates. The game and the dev are waaaay to ambitious for their own good. I took at a good look at the patreon numbers and lets just say with the amount of time that has passed since version 0.1 the game should be a lot far ahead as far both relationships and story goes. As you said the 3 main LIs barely got anything going on and any sort of focus each update. I mean its pretty clear the lack of lewd scenes to a point where the "gift" is a thing. The best option for the dev rn would be do 3 updates to move the relationships forward properly AND then retcon them with the story. Alas there's been way to much wasted time doing spin-off and sandbox mechanics that no one really plays VIS for. And more dev time to create now 2 builds one without sandbox, which only shows how important it truly is... sadly I dont see it changing anytime soon. Vis is basically one of those game that if the dev focused more on story telling and relationship building than trying to make it GOT it would have a lot more patrons and fans.
BTW this version its filled with bugs and typos. Not surprising considering how much different code is implemented, except it becomes a mess.
Edit: That said, I do like the game, otherwise I wouldnt follow it since the v0.1 version
