Started playing COC1 for the first time and saw that there was a character called Urta mentioned a few times here who seems to be quite hated. Can anyone explain why?

Really? People hate Urta? I wonder why, well at least in COC you can completely shut out major characters if you don't like them, for better or for worse

Yeah, I don't get that at all. Maybe Savin has it in for the imps for some reason and decided to incorporate that into the setting because that wasn't really a part of their original concept. I mean, people didn't like them in the first game, but they didn't inspire the level of disgust that people seem to feel towards them in this one. It really weirds me out, man.
What's not to get? They're demonic rapist invaders, spawn of the demon queen, corrupting the environment and inhabitants.

It is fun being a bastard, preferebly an evil one.

It allows me to throw consent out of window. You can get away with so much fucked up shit when you disregard human decency.

Taking away control from someone and twisting them to your needs is nice. Just nice.

Basically, imposing my will on others is great.
I dunno man that sounds pretty gross.

In all sense, that was the essence of CoC1 :WeSmart:
I used to think that, which is what made me hesitant to try out CoC, but I was glad to discover that I don't have to do any nasty evil stuff.

Well, that's a good reason to dislike them, but there's nothing I've seen that's particularly disgusting about imps. They're not inherently dirty or anything. Also, what would that matter to my very corrupt PC who doesn't have the personal issues that Kas does?

She is for no reason at all, integral to one of the endings. So no, you can't "shut out major characters" if you don't like them..

Also for no reason, she fucks one of your companions and if you object, they both up and leave IIRC.

She is one of the best examples of dogshit-tier design choices in the Fen games.

Because the game/artists doesn't show it that way, contrary to the hill troll (Arona quest) who is described as being hideous&dumb and is drawn as such.
And its mostly a question of perspective tbh (for example the new art for the horse ppl is disgusting in my eyes for some its not that bad)

Two things one why would urta be tied to the good ending, I'm assuming that the purification one? She's not involved at all if I recall correctly, if so then yeah fuck that, no reason to lock the good ending by interacting with her, not everyone likes/tolerates futa, did they ever give a reason for why that is?

But to play "devil's advocate" you are cheating on both of them as well so getting angry at that in-universe would be hypocritical, but i can understand wanting to have your cake and eat it too

Also, I've been hearing about mods for the original game did they ever patch the holes left behind by fenoxo, like gargoyle just being stuck in the church, or the goblin shopkeeper mentioning that she can't have sex with for some reason that she only states when you first meet her, Loppe pregnancy, or loppe's dad, and other stuff I can't recall right now

you are cheating on both of them as well
The problem here is, iirc, Urta also expects you to be cool with her fucking other people even before Amily comes into the picture. Amily also is cool with you bringing in literally anyone into your camp whom you can fuck except for Urta for some reason. The 'cheating' argument only works if both Urta and Amily have demonstrated a want and need for exclusivity from the player and be consistent with it.

However, this 'exclusivity' only really kicks in when you bring Amily on a date to Tel'Adre and stumble across Urta. Afaik, Amily is perfectly fine with Isabelle, Marble, Phylla and Ember despite the fact you can just as easily enter relationships with them and have kids.

I've seen the /hgg/ mod mentioned here a couple times, is there a way to edit saves from that mod?

Maybe it's because she doesn't like futas? She freaks out at one point about it

Man, the writing truly evolved. Back then companions could fuck other companions but then they could fuck off, now they still do it but can't fuck off and we can only watch as they go hunting for hobos.

Evolved, but backwards.

People make the point about the first game being as deep as a puddle, but that wasn't always the case. Corrupting NPC was ususally a very deep, multi-stage affair. Some characters even had unique mechanic and requirements to fill. Sheila would "abosrb" 10 corruption from you after sex, simultaneously purifying you, while Whitney needed to be corrupted by "evil osmosis" as she put it. Corrupting followers felt like something you'd earned, which increased the satisfaction of having them.

Here, the corruption is lackluster, when the devs can be bothered to tear themselves away from cuckery and weeb long enough to implement it. I find many aspects of CoC II to be kind of bland and low-effort, but the corruption stuff is...I wouldn't even call it phoned-in. All I can say about is that someone took the time to write and proofread it. Aside from a couple of good eggs, nobody on this project gives a shit about anything their own pet characters; otherwise, they only squeeze out the bare minimum that it needs to be considered content.

Ten bucks on Steam, folks. Now you can store you hardcore pornography on the same account that your cousin uses to play Fortnite.
