Kevin's a bro. I need a game with him as the main character. Or a Kevin romance route.
What I would do if I were writing this game: Kevin takes off his helmet so you get to see what his face looks like... then another guard wanders in and also takes off his helmet, revealing the exact same face. Turns out, all the guards in the Old Capital are just a massive group of identical siblings.

Hi everybody.
I hope you're all doing well and are ready for the weekend. First things first, if you haven't seen who won the poll determining the content of 0.7, check out this .
Now the report:
Chestnut:
Chestnut worked on cutscenes and sprites, making new hands and facial expressions for Rose and the main character that will be used in her first quest. She also started several new cutscenes and advanced the work on the previous ones.
Pistachio:
I finished editing the first draft of the dialogues and spent the rest of the week posing scenes from Rose's initial events. The 0.6 update has about 30k words -- That's 10k more than Myrtle's and 10k less than 0.5. It will need to be heavily edited still (basically until the day we release it), but our earlier plan of having it be similar to Myrtle's ended up changing after a lot of testing and editing. Rose will have a longish intro, followed by two quests, the second one of which leads to the third and final event (the third quest if you want to call it, but it's more of the conclusion of everything that happened in the intro). I hope it will make more sense after the release, and we like that it's not a copy of our previous updates.
What's next?
Chestnut is going to continue adding to the sprite expressions we need for the posing. She will also try to advance as many of the cutscenes as she can.
I will focus mostly on editing the scenes and fixing any bugs I notice while doing so. Adding bag item notifications and other minor coding tasks will also be on my to-do list.

That's funny, but nah, the helmet stays on in bed.

Hmm based on the 0.7 poll if these results will be as similar at that time then 0.8 is probably finishing off Holly, though I don't know if that will take as much dev time as Myrtle or Rose is going to get since these 2 were started from scratch while what exists right now in game for Holly appears to be most of what counts as part 1 content on her end and had more of a headstart than the others at the time.

I'm not interested in romancing Kevin, but I'm all for a bromance, like playing cards, getting drunk, hunting/fishing etc. Or we could even help him throw an anniversary surprise for his wife.
"Hey honey, you know how you keep bugging me to find someone to do a three-way with us? Well... happy anniversary!"

I haven't seen anyone answer the "explore the mansion and go upstairs" question so I'm gonna ask it again. MC says to meet Simmone at the wall but Help says Explore the mansion. Simmone isn't at the wall and the mansion cannot be explored.

I'm so torn each time. On one hand, progressing the story and unlocking new people and places will likely be great considering what's already happened but on the other hand, stopping and fleshing out the existing people is great because we want to do things to them.

The city and village still have a load of places and people we haven't touched on, but there's always the issue of being 86 by the time it's all done.

I'm so torn each time. On one hand, progressing the story and unlocking new people and places will likely be great considering what's already happened but on the other hand, stopping and fleshing out the existing people is great because we want to do things to them.

The city and village still have a load of places and people we haven't touched on, but there's always the issue of being 86 by the time it's all done.
There's enough girls both already introduced and implied to exist by background that we have a full game's worth of girls just in the village and the Old Capital. There's:

  • The spankable tree lady
  • Junior's sister (and maybe also Laura?)
  • The twins in the village
  • Maple's rabbit friend
  • Serana's mom (Technically she'll probably be a New Capital character when the Main Quest finally goes there)
  • Simmone's mom
  • Plus any others who get introduced over the course of Rose's/Holly's/Maple's stories getting completed (maybe a ghost lady in the Moantower, frex?)
